How Much rent Should I Pay My Mom?
I am still living with my mom, I enjoy a small dog shes half Chi/Jack Russell. I money my mom rent of $250.00 a month. I do not ask her to take attention of my dog , accually she never has when I move I put my dog up in my room. By paying my rent I attain 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with a tub which she repeatedly uses my Tub because her bathroom only have a shower. Then I get one little sitting room which I hold a couch and tv in and she never uses because it is mine. So basicly I hold the up stairs and she has the down stairs and vault. The house is set up with a loft so basicly my upstairs is similar to a little apartment. I also repay my own bills. I only net $ 800 a month and im trying to find a job right very soon. I have to settle for my car insure. the rent to my mom, my phone bill, gas for my coup¨¦, food away from home, misc activities, and my sports car needs to be repaired subsequent month which should be about $200. And im struggling to seize all these things rewarded every month. Then Im $20 overdrawn in the ridge. And Broke :(Answers: You'd pay much more if you have an apartment, but I think that's munificent of crappy of your mom to do that. You're 18 AND you're in college. When I be 18, I lived at home, went to college full time, and have a full time job. I didn't cause much more money than you do right now, but my parents never made me rate rent. I had to wages for my car, and my insurance, and my clothes, necessities, etc., but rent...NEVER. I procure that you're mom is trying to teach you responsibilities, but it's not close to you're bumming around doing nothing. Your mom wants to at least realize when you entail help. If you be my daughter, and you were going to college full time, had a livelihood, and paid your own sports car, you wouldn't have to pay packet rent. If anything, you should pay utilities and be done next to it.

Then again if your mom make a lot more money and is ok near your paying less. Then what ever :)
250 wouldn't cover my power/trash/water bill :P If you where on earth in my house you would own to pay 600 for a 50-50 share.

Why don't you go to college and grasp some type of degree?? Just imagine in 10 years do you want to be living next to your mom still and struggling with adjectives these payments? You could get a 2 year level of some kind and kind at least $30000 a year! Then you can move out and live at your own place, buy a brand unknown car, and contemporary clothes that you probably can't even afford now.
I recommend you turn back to conservatory and earn a degree.
As rents travel $ 250.- is cheap rent.

The big question is. Does your mother really stipulation the money to pay for running the house. If she would live alone she would own the same payments. Are in that still mortgage payments that need to be rewarded every month ?

$250 is a great deal, but if you want to be reliable all you hold to do is look in your broadsheet for prices of apartments, power/heating bills, food and see if you could live ANYWHERE else for less. BUT, I suggest you try to re-negotiate your matter with Mom to see if you can take a break in rent until you are competent to secure the better living. Good luck!
