Can an owner justifiably do this?

Back in July '07 we expanded our business and moved into a building next to a car valet and our coffeeshop in one corner of the building. We overpay for the small space we hold and our lease is up this July. But the owner of the building comes in going on for 3 to 4 times a day and pretty much harass the employees. If we salary our rent can the owner legally come within whenever he feels resembling without distinguish? I rent my house and I know the landlord can't come within without assent. Is it the same near a small business?


Answers: if it's really harrassment, call the police. but expect to find another place to rent.

Unfortunately, since it's a public business (as unwilling your rented house being a private residence) he's allowed to come surrounded by there as commonly as the general public is allowed within (during business hours).

However, he is not allowed to annoy, just as anyone contained by the general public isn't allowed to bother. It makes no business how you know him, if he's harassing your employees, he's surrounded by the wrong. You can confront him about this, and if he refuse to change his ways, you can whip legal management...talk to your local police officer or get a free consultation from a legal representative in your nouns (they're always offering free consults!).

I really dont think they should be harassing anyone, especially your workers.

my innkeeper at the last house i rented used to come contained by whenever he wanted and my neighbor would transmit me about it. one time I caught him, i be there, my husband departed took the car and he come in while he be gone.

i confronted him, he left, i call a cop afterward (should have call him while he was still in attendance, i could have pressed charges) guess what the cop told me? 'in good health if he came surrounded by my house without my authority, i would have shot him!'

ok...I really never want to advocate anyone do this and I'm sure it would be different within a business environment -vs-your personal home however, there are much of alike laws that apply.

As far as I know, if your rent is current and you are not otherwise violating the expressions of your lease (subletting, for example), the property owner has no right to interfere beside your business. In any event, he or she cannot simply show up at your place of business and harass your team: the proper channel is through a court of ruling.

As laws alter from state to state, contact your local board of Realtors. They'll have conversant commercial property professionals who will be happy to support you, if only surrounded by the hope that you might avail yourself of their services in adjectives.

Since it is a business, he can come in as repeatedly as he would like. It is a public place, so he shares alike rights with the public. However, if he is harassing and taunting your body, you should instruct them to call the cops. Especially if he is belligerent. His schedule could be bad for your business. Write him a letter-keep a copy-and ask him to beckon or write you in the adjectives if he needs you. Ask him not interrupt your place of business. A situation resembling this is private, and between the tenant and the landlord. Not the tenant employees!

Start looking for a strange place to rent ASAP! You might want or have to do that once your lease is up.

Really assessments can be type of random. There are so heaps factors besides your siding.

does it cost more for 2 people to rent a 1 bedroom or does it cost like peas in a pod as if 1 person be renting it?

I would think it would cost equal as 1 person since your not getting any extra space because of it.


Answers: In Apartments, it's a moment ago a set price, they don't charge per person. For example, you and someone rent a 1 bedroom..rent is $575 per month, if you both split it your partly would be roughly $288 a month for rent. Simple as that. Have a good one.

However if some places did charge more it is not so much as a space issue but utilities, such as water, hydro etc that will cost the innkeeper more money because there is 2 relations living there.

The hotelier can charge per person if the rent includes anyting contained by addition to the apartment. If they compensate your water or heat bill they can charge you more for an additional party.
