If your lease is up and innkeeper take you to court will the mediator be more leunient if you hold a child?

My freind owns a four family and he told me he tried getting his tenant out and it took him year also that he didnt get rewarded.can this happen..My lease is up and i cannot find a place surrounded by 30 days.if my landlord take me to court how long will it take her to procure a court date?also how long would the judge pass me .will he more leuniant considering i have a child and also that i own done nothing wrong.I enjoy paid my rent every moth and hold rent receipts..Does anyone know for sure what the nyc laws are?Im contained by Brooklyn,Ny its a four family Building,also should i bring back a lawyer.She is harresing me.tamper withy my mail and trying to come into the apartment in need my permission.I have to change the locks..this female is crazy!


Answers: IT should never take 1 year to return with an eviction. The landlord be either trying to do it adjectives himself or the landlord didn't follow the proper procedures for eviction.

I don't know how it is in NY. Here contained by Ohio, once your lease is up, you automatically go on a month-to-month lease until you move out, do something to procure evicted like not paying rent, or sign a up to date lease. My lease has be up since October 2007, and I'm still here. They still have to pass me 24 hours notice prior to entering my apartment by directive, and I still have tenants' rights.

I assume you enjoy already received a 30 day observe to vacate. If so and you fail to be off within the 30 days, the hotelier can file an unlawful detainer against you. Once this have been file you will need to turn to court and the judge will lay down you to leave in a certain amount of time...usually a few days. I don't know of any state that this process take more than a month. BTW...the landlord does not call for your permission to enter the apartment...he single needs to permit you know ahead of time. Also, changing the locks on your apartment be a big no no...and illegal contained by all of the five boroughs.

No Pets?

When you read a rent listing and it say "no pets" do they mean ALL pets, or newly cats/dogs??

I have a cockatiel (she's usually quiet), that's why I'm wondering.


Answers: everyone other says no pets immediately. but they always tolerate me have my cat when asked. If its shared accomendations afterwards you will have to ask what pets are ok. i read contained by landlord tenant stroke that pets are considered family member so landlord cannot rebuff you any more due to pets.
You will have to inquire almost whether or not a bird is included in the 'no pets' rule at this apartment. The conclusion is the management's to make.

Trying to find a house for rent??

I'm trying to find a house for rent in Grove, Oklahoma. I'm not finding any luck next to any of the websites I've found. This is a small town in Northeastearn Oklahoma. I've be checking out the newspaper here,but haven't had any luck. Any suggestions?? Thanks contained by advance!!


Answers: Rent.com is the lone website that helped me...although it may not be of use to you if you are moving to a really small town.

You could try a sub-leasing site...sometimes associates are looking to sublease for 6 months or more...and this might be just plenty time for you to find another place, or decide if the move be successful.

Have you tried to G00GLE the local paper? You could also look online for a local realtor...I found out that several of them usually have something to do near the renting business. Sometimes they will even have listings online.

Maybe put your own classified ad in the local thesis...I say local serious newspaper because this will be cheaper and more likely to bring you results located in close proximity your target area.

look surrounded by the local paper. Look surrounded by a renter's book that you find in front of walmart stores where on earth the buggy's are. Apartment guides or you can look for a place that can help you find places to rent. You may merely need time until a rental property become available. Drive around local neighborhoods and look fer for rent signs in yard or windows. If you can drive. Look within the local phone book for renter's and maybe rental homes. Searching for a rental home that is to say right for you is a lengthy and time consuming process. Don't procure discouraged if you don't find anything right away.
