Answers: This is not correct, they can only ask for new deposit money if something changed. The change could be that your girlfriend destabilized the property and they spent the deposit or a pet came contained by.

Generally speaking there is no addtional deposit required when a lease is renewed.
Depending on the type of contract. Check you local library or court house as to exotic property managment responsibilities or notifications.

References for an Apartment?

Who are some good reference to use?

I guess my job would be one. But what are some others. And no not my long-gone landlord. :-)

Answers: Did you work for any line friends growing up? Those people commonly are comfortable speaking well of you and will be capable of mention genuine guise references.

Consider your olden teachers, any high institution if you have not long graduated, or any other courses after university, including university professors.

While they often speak about you not to write your relatives down, you might consider putting an aunt or uncle who is friendly with you and who have a different last cross. If you want, you can ask they to play along and not mention the relation.

If you have any long standing relationships beside local store owners, they might be willing to thieve a reference bid for you.

Lastly, past roommates or long-time friends can serve for rental reference.

Good Luck!
IRS would be a good one. You discharge them every week.
