What happen when lanlord give smaller apartment than agreed upon?
hello. Any help near this question would be appreciated. My boyfriend and I go to visit an apartment complex two weeks ago. Online and within the brochure they posted a studio apartment with one bedroom within it. It actually say one bedroom. they showed us a sample apartment because the actual apartment be unavailable. The property official told us that the bedroom size was like size as the one in the indication apartment. So, we signed the lease and took the apartment. Guess what? The bedroom was partially the size of the sample bedroom. We can't even find a queen size bed in in attendance. It's a closet basically. What can we do, or should do? Ask for a free upgrade, rent lessening, or try to get out of the lease completely? We surface like we are owed something, because the property head failed to accuractly compare the preview apartment with the actual apartment by a immense amount. Again, it does say studio, but it is advertise as a bedroom on the website and brochure.Answers: Communication is always switch. Talk with them. Maybe they are prepared to do something about it, any a different unit or a renegotiation on the lease.
Here is my suspicion. This is standard practice for them. They show a nice model, sign you up (the details are probably clear within the lease and you don't amend it or make them guarantee the room sizes) and next stick you with the small element. You are now contained by a situation where, justifiably, you don't have much to stand on. You enjoy signed a lease, you've moved in and adjectives you have is hearsay or their 'word' that the component was supposed to be exactly matching. You may have in recent times learned a really expensive lesson in getting things contained by writing and reading everything you sign (I hope not, though).

well my mom is manager in the apartments and stuff and frequent people bear the employees who lied to them to court to confrontation this over so my advice is to steal them to court

Unfortunatly, since you have already signed a lease, in that is not a whole lot you can do. Technically the apartment complex is not required to impart you anything and will probably hold you responsible for the remainder of the lease. I am a property manager at an apartment complex and I hear stories from adjectives kinds of ancestors that got themselves surrounded by the same situation you're contained by. I always give show the applicant the actual apartment before they sign any brand of lease, but many places don't. My direction would be to talk to the property proprietor and see if there is a method you could transfer to another apartment, but I would be nice give or take a few it, because technically they don't have to. Apartments are not required to show you the apartment first, especially if you do not ask until that time you sign. And even though the apartment manager told you the rooms be the about like size, if they have floorplans (which most do), they can argue that you know exactly how big the bedroom was. Good luck! I hope you can work something out! And NEVER sign a lease for somewhere you haven't see. If you ask to see if before you sign, they cannot speak no.

How about they distribute those of us that would like to own a home some money too so we can buy a house?I would approaching to buy one in the subsequent year, but this gov't handout is going to artificially keep the prices of homes at their elevated level. I would like a handout too so I can afford a home that i can't afford.
Answers: And I would similar to to be rewarded by the government for not individual stupid enough to purloin out a mortgage I can't afford. It's crazy that we have to bail out folks who didn't have an idea that past tomorrow on their freaking mortgages. Is that my denounce!!
It's not really a handout, its just a restructured loan so they don't win thrown out into the street. They still owe the money and they still have to money it back.
