A murder took place within the house i am renting years ago . do i own any rights since i be never informed?

my daughter has be scared to release since she was told more or less it at school .it be a murder/suicide.

Answers:   You need to check your state's law regarding disclosure. In Texas, a murder that happen in the house must be disclosed.

You can move out when your lease expires. Property owners are not required to inform tenant of such acts which occur in days gone by, except in California. In California, disclosure of such an event is required, but with the sole purpose if it occurred inwardly the preceding three years. As far as having the "right" to know more or less the death go, you don't have it. But, if your daughter is really upset and you want to move, collaborate to your landlord give or take a few getting out of your lease early. I don't think here is any law roughly landlords requiring them to inform you about crimes one committed in the house.

If it be a murder/suicide, then the murderer is inert. that should give some comfort.
