Can anyone beside experience in actual estate (or life!) surrounded by the Bronx tell me the best couple of areas or neighborhoods to live surrounded by to have:
1. 2 bedrm 1 tub for about $1650/month
2. parking for 2 cars
3. walking distance from a train stop that go directly to Columbus Ave in Manhattan
I am apartment hunting online and inevitability some direction, I'll be attending grad school surrounded by January at John Jay in the city and i am a aboriginal Floridian. I'm lost already =)
Answers: Pelham Bay, Throgg's Neck, Country Club and Riverdale are still nice areas. All have access to public transportation.
Throggs Neck and Country club hold homes on the Long Island Sound. Pelham Bay you can walk to the train. The other areas nick a bus to the train. Also private Express buses run to Manhattan.
