The weather varies greatly. Yes, pond effect snow. (I hate snow) But at hand is a definite difference within the seasons... which is nice.

There is a great deal to do in Erie, but most natives hold it for granted. You've got Presque Isle beach, the Playhouse Theatre, The Civic Center, The "Dock", Flagship Niagra, Children's museum, 4 local colleges, lots of festivals contained by the summer, etc.

Housing is affordable, which I didn't realize until I moved away. a house that sells for $80,000 contained by Erie, would sell for $120,000 where on earth I live now.
