why throw your money away? i have a sneaking suspicion that you should check into buying a manufactored house. depending on the size of home you need, you could receive a used one at a great price. if your going to pay rent on something, why don't you basically use that payment for something you could in the future own? then, when your house is finished, you could any sell it, or move it to another property and rent it out yourself for income.

Depending on where on earth you live build a garage and stay in that until you finish building. My grandparents did that and it worked out great for them. My cousin also did one and the same thing her and her husband bought 15 acres and it come with a milking house.
