So, I recently signed a lease for a unsullied apartment. When I signed the lease, I wanted cable TV, but immediately I am running into financial problems and cable is an unneccesary expense that I want to cut from my budget. The problem is that the landlord is primarily forcing me to get cable, because he have a "deal" with the cable company that get all of the apartments within the building cable at a reduced price. On the lease, it said I would pay for cable. . . Is in attendance any way I can capture out of paying cable? I signed nothing beside a cable company, only the lease to the apartment on which he have written in the cost of cable (not added into the rent). I know deal between landlords and cable companies became risky last year (unless something have changed). Can I get out of have cable?
Answers: If it is in the lease after you contracted to have cable. Next year when the analog TV is phased out (Feb 2009) you will not know how to watch TV at adjectives so it might be a good point to keep, anyway.
Unless it is within your lease, he cannot force you to have it but he can sort your life miserable if you don't hold cable. Of course if he makes you natural life miserable, you can break your lease if you have the evidence to prove it. You asked for it, you hold it, you pay for it. It's a clause within the lease that you agreed to. If it is illegal after find the exact law and jump work it out with your innkeeper.
