Great model and I'm glad to see more modular housing. It makes sense on so heaps levels. Contrary to popular evaluation, once installed on a proper foundation, finished off, tied into utilities, etc., modular homes are not deeply moveable.
These homes are great because you can design them with the backing of a consultant online, and they are infinitely configurable. They can also be added onto relatively easily within the future.
The drawbacks to this munificent of home are in getting building permit in areas where on earth the inspectors are not used to this type of construction. In some areas this sensitive of "prefab" home is prohibited due to the shoddiness of earlier paraphernalia homes. Laws need to be revisited to allow for the tentative energy-wise modular homes.

Their engineer come out and provided a report but no answers. We finally got an independent fix report. Warning to All about Modulars: If you live on black topography, otherwise known as expansive clay soil, black gumbo, unstable soil, etc. drilled piers are suppose to be put underneath the runners to support the foundation. I'm developing a website for a one stop school feast around the differences between manufactured homes, windzone 2, modular, and site built. If you go modular and own problems, contact the Industrialized Housing Board and complain. This "toy" foundation they put underneath our home after everything we invested is devasting. Sure things can go wrong beside a site built home, but this level of size and carelessness is staggering. BE CAREFUL IF YOU GO MODULAR Doesn't look similar to there's room for much insulation and getting good seal could be a problem. For travel, I prefer a good RV. For enduring, I'd rather own a well designed Hobbit house (underground) for protection from wind, tornadoes and forest and grass fires. It's also easier to secure against break-in, and can convert hurriedly to a fallout shelter in the event of nuclear disaster, premeditated or accidental.
