What be UK estate agents letting fees years ago? Please read on...?

My UK estate agent wants to charge me 15% + vat for full paperwork of a property. I know that 3 years ago, or maybe 4, I have asked them and it was 14%.

Does anyone know how much it be before later? I'm assuming that in 2000 it be 13%, and 12% in 1995. Does anyone know if it really be like that?

Letting agents relief me!?

Answers:   There are masses agents who only charge 10%, if it be me, I would be moving my property to another agent. I know in 2000, the agent I worked for charged between 8% and 14%, the lowewr for multiple landlords, and the sophisticated for anybody who would tolerate it. When taking on a property, I would start at 14%, and negotiate down, you would be surprised how many merely paid 14%. You requirement to negotiate, and be prepared to move.

I am looking to buy a condominium surrounded by Port Rebpublic, Md. and to rent February or March contained by Ft. Myers, Fl?

Estate agents are useless for managing rental properties even when most of them charge 10% or less. Their control is nothing more than a parasitic scam. The running scam is nothing more than an answering service to bring and pass on the tenants' messages or most recent demands. The agents' sale (1%) and control (10%) percentage fees have remained impossible to tell apart because they still earn more as property prices up and rents increase. So, inflation has nought to do with the agents' percentage excise. I agree with above. i hold an agent who "manages" 3 of my properties. If there is a problem they phone me to sort it out. Do it youself, it is not that unyielding. I now control my own properties
