My boyfriend and I found an apartment that we really liked and be planning on moving into in 4 days. When we view the apartment, there be certain features that we really like and made the sale for us (painted brick fireplace, nice doors that unfold out to a patio, etc). We go to look in the window this evening to get an model about the size of it past the weekend. Well, we find out that most of the features we were counting on (and be shown in TWO models) are not contained by this model. We were also told by the leasing agent that every apartment would look impossible to tell apart as the two shown. She also wouldn't let us picture the exact unit at the time that we put a hold on the component, because there be tenants living surrounded by it at the time. We both feel completely mislead and don't know if there's really anything we can do going on for it, except ask for an explanation as to why it's different than we were told.
Any suggestions on what we can do?! We haven't signed the lease- purely a holding agreement. Help!
Answers: I would approach it with a 'good', 'nice' attitude at first. do not tolerate her know how mad or upset you are. If you treat her other, I'm sure she will work with you. explain what you thought you'd be moving into. if she say 'sorry', nothing i can do since you already signed forms and give her a check, then I'd undo the check if you can asap. if she has cashed it, she could say-so sorry and not help you. signing the contract and paying for it mode that you are bound by that contract. i'm sure you can work it out. good luck.

Be leary of shady landlords - and look at other areas besdies the "nice/pretty things" - such as faucets, window, plumbing, other appliances that convey, A/C and heat work properly, etc. Also get sure there is some big-hearted of "release clause" if you are not happy near apartment or get re-located because of a job"- EVERYTHING IN WRITING is the knob here. Tell her you wanted to apartment near the fireplace and patio. She said you'd own that and if she can't follow through, then don't move contained by. What are the consequences if you don't take the apartment?
