I just moved into a student apartment complex almost three weeks ago. Since I'm subleasing from someone, my lease will be up within August. The first week of my residency, I've experience nothing but dud and frustration with the property and my apartment. I come in and the lights that guide you upstairs be out and I nearly fell 3 times. Verticals in my room and living be missing. The pantry door was completely rotten. A drawer was missing (and still is). I hold a roommate that told me he put in a work decree for some of the same things MANY times and they be never fulfilled. My private balcony is facing the pool nouns, so I'm constantly hearing noise. Late at night, population come to the vending machine and see, and knock over and this lead to them stealing the can of soda that eventually falls out. Then the entry gate doesn't work for pedestrians so I literally hold to wait for someone to enter or be off before I can evacuate to walk through the total admission money! What could they do for me!?
Answers: Contact the person from whom you sub-let. Since you are not the lessee, you can't transport money off the rent. Take dated pictures of the problems, and dispatch a copy to the property manager by certified correspondence. About the lighting in the upstairs hallway, contact your municipality as there might be an ordinance requiring lighting for safekeeping. If I were the property executive, I would remove the soda machine at once. I would lock the pool take, and have a camera installed. If this is authorized student housing, contact the college or university just about conditions.
Didn't you look at the place before sub-letting?
Your recourse:
convey a certified letter concerning repairs needed.
Pool...you should have particular that your balcony face the pool.
Entry gate...sermon to management.
I get the drift your fustration. As I see it you have three option;
#1 put up with it until August
#2 database complaints with manager
#3 leave
