My house is going up for sale and it must be appraised. The current problem is, the movers will not arrive until that time the appraiser. Will it hurt my value to own boxes laying around the house, or do the appraiser's not nurture about the curb appeal, etc?

Furnishings/boxes/etc...don't situation to the value of your home. The appraiser is merely insterested in the significance of the real property: the house and the house that it sits on, plus any improvements (shed, fence, pool, etc...). You'll be fine near boxes, furniture, and anything else that's not "Real Property" but "Personal Property" lying about everywhere you please.
Really shouldn't impact the appraiser's work. Just needs to be capable of move around and determine what shape the home is in.
An appraiser develops a equal market utility of your home which is used by the buyer and the mortgage company to determine if the price is fair and aspiration. The appraiser isn't looking at your decor, he is really looking at the lot size, and home square footage. He will also be looking at how many bedrooms/bathrooms. You are fine honey!!
