What exactly is transitional housing?

i was reading the blog of a girl i know who just now moved into her own apartment. she said it was transitional housing and i looked it up but none of the websites i looked at really sounded anything approaching what she would be living in. she isnt any helpful of former drug addict or anything so its not a in the middle house, and she isnt homeless (she lived with her father till just this minute, she moved out of her own accord, and not for any discouraging reason) so im really up in the upper air as to what transitional housing means. any model?

id ask her but she is scarcely ever online so idk when id ever win an answer out of her.

this is all in recent times out of curiosity, cause i have never heard of it till i read that blog

We are considering buying a home for the first time, can we afford it?

Answers:   it would be a local slang residence.

if one is going from their parent's home to
a house, but they need something inbetween
that apt or intervening unit--whatever, wherever, would be call a transitional
unit.

AGain, it is an invented slang occupancy
for her.

[as you correctly ID'd it, it is a correct
term for drug rehabilitation]

I also usually hear "transitional housing" to refer to impermanent housing for people transitioning (hopefully) out of homelessness and any related-cause.

I own heard of young-looking people taking pre-eminence of charitable-assistance programs to qualify for subsidized housing programs and even food stamps (US). Apparently, young populace moving out of their parents' home often inadvertently qualify for non-profit and government-funded programs that be designed to assist people within needs such as the homeless, disabled, drug-addicted, etc.

I don't know how prevalent it is, but I suspect most nation who donate to a charity don't expect their money to assist an able-bodied young personality who has chosen to be unwaged. (On the other hand charity is charity, and I'm surrounded by no position to judge whether someone is truly contained by need or not.)

If renters be busted near drugs - what will come to pass to the property I own. Is it impossible to tell apart as foreclosure?

Where I am, California, it refers to inhabitants receiving assistance who be out of normal society for a time. There are ones for drug addict, the mentally ill and former prisoners. The housing is rewarded for by the tax payers until the receiver gets the rest of their life span together. This takes housing pressure bad of them while they get a duty, etc. Transitional housing can mean alot of things. I be homeless, but not an addict. I own some physical, and mental problems, but not bad ample to place me inside an institution. The place I stayed at was here for me until an apartment that I could afford became available.
