Small Business Questions and Answers

As a completely small private business, am I required by regulation to compensate an member of staff wages while on jury duty?

We have smaller quantity than 5 employees contained by our small private business. It will cause us undue financial adversity to pay an hand chosen for jury duty, who could conceivably be serving on a jury for a week, a month or even more. I would like to know what requirements if any, near are to require us (an independent private firm not governmentally connected) to continue to foot an employee ordinary wages while serving jury duty.

Answers: Paying an employee for jury duty is at the discretion of the business owner.
You are not required to reward restitution for an employee on jury duty, no issue the size of the business. I would write the court and let them know that it will rationale a strain on the business if hte person take a leave (if explicitly an issue.) The court provides restitution for days off. (It is not much, but it is restitution-I imagine in my state it is $50 a time!)

I would also explore morals. Could you offer to supply them an extra ten, twenty dollars a day? $50 is not much for performing a civic duty, contained by which the have no choice but to act jury duty.

Hope this helped.

Information on e-commerce business policies/license law contained by India?

I intend to run a small business - an ecommerce portal to sell some products. My warehouse would be my home surrounded by Mumbai and I hope to ship to customers internationally. I would like to know what the business law and policies would be regarding shipping internationally. More specifically:

1. Is a Dutch auction from a foreign customer still considered a sale surrounded by Mumbai?
2. What registration procedures should I go through to establish it as a court business?
3. Is there a website where on earth this information may be available?
4. If I hire a lawyer to whip care of the court issues, what kind of costs am I looking at? I enjoy a very small budget to fire up with.

Thanks within advance for your suggestion.
