Thinking of setting up a shoe business, but necessitate to fabrication them to specification.?

Any ideas how to find someone who could do this? Would prefer production surrounded by UK but no vital.

Answers: The guy above without doubt knows almost shoes. I know something about getting things made overseas.

From what you are dictum I believe you must have a niche open market in mind - some giving of specialist shoe that is any not being sold or is mortal sold but at a very lofty price and you can see an opportunity to undercut and get some of that business?

If i.e. not the case and you are simply planning to compete at mass-market rank, then I suggest you may have difficulties: you probably won't know how to afford the volumes necessary to capture the costs down.

Also, are you the designer? if not you will call for to get the designs made.

If you are serious please find in touch
have some institutional experience with the shoe business, I can give an account you that controlling labor costs is vital to profitability.

25 years ago, America import most of its shoes from then second world countries resembling Spain.

My bet today is that some aggressively developing country somewhere has the correct mix of lower cost labor, and satisfactory schooling that workers can both read and be flexible. Perhaps the business moved to Argentina or Brazil as Spanish labor became too expensive.

Thus, I markedly much doubt that you'll be price competitive producing in UK.

Higher running out [stylish] shoes over here are coming from Italy. The high merit input there is within the design process, with annual or more frequent change [shoes have season in most countries] required and thus within is a premium on very flexible work and drastically low level of defect.

Again, I doubt that UK labor can really compete in this.

Together, this lead to the observation that I do not consider your operation will do the actual work in UK.

Finding the contacts and agents to carry you into touch with foreign business operations is beyond my expertise so you'll want further warning from someone else.
Most shoe manufacturers introduction from abroad, India usually. There are uk manufacurers surrounded by UK but set up costs on styles can be very soaring.

Video store, what is a right correlation of video and another product?

I am thinking of opening a video store. My friend and I be talking and he said, Video and Pizza. A human being goes into receive a video and they can also get a pizza. Or they want to return with a pizza and then they pick up a video... I thought this be a good theory, but a pizza parlor is too large. A product that would own similar draw and has dignified margins in that it is a significantly profitable product (costs $.25 and sells for $1.25) would be what? What is it that you would wallow in going out to get and also picking up a dvd/video...?

Answers: A coffee shop and a movie.
