How to collect money owed on your account receivables?
Answers: I've just (nearly) gone through that process. Thankfully I didn't have to go as far as suing, but here are the steps I took (remember to always document your correspondence)...
Resend the invoice
Call to remind them they have an overdue invoice and a new invoice is in the mail.
in 2-weeks:
Resend the invoice
Call to remind
in 2 more weeks:
Resend the invoice via Certified Mail (you get a delivery confirmation)
Call to remind
in 4 more weeks:
Write a "to avoid being sent to a collection agency" letter and send that with the invoice via Certified Mail.
Don't call to remind (the letter should do it)
in 2 more weeks:
Resend the collections letter and invoice
Call again to remind them
in 2 more weeks:
Rewrite the collections letter and give them a 30 day deadline to pay or they will be sent to collections via Certified Mail.
Dont call to remind
in 2 more weeks:
Call to remind them of their deadline
Contact a collection agency and tell them you are giving your client one last chance.
On the deadline day:
Call for a resolution. If they are unable to send you money immediately (via UPS Overnight, etc.) Then tell them their account will be handed to a collection agency.
If they still haven't paid, then send them to collections. The moment the account is turned over to the agency, contact the client again and give them the contact information to the collections agency you have selected and inform them that all future correspondence is to go through the agency as your organization can no longer accept payment for their delinquent account.
Usually, the threat of being sent to collections is enough to jumpstart their A/P into action, but not always. And remember, every bit of correspondence that you have had with your client needs to be relayed to the collection agency.
I hope this helps. Good luck.
Sell the account to a collection agent if you have made all reasonable attempts to collect.
Or, (assuming <$5000), Small Claims Court - although this does have some serious drawbacks, since YOU have to enforce the ruling.
Also, you can (and should) report the person/company to the assorted Credit Bureaus for failure to pay.
Finally, if it is a seizable asset, hire a repossession team.
I don't know about you, but I get a call from attorney's all the time, they constantly ask me, if I have people that owe me money. They say they can help get it. Turns out I'm ok as far as people paying, but I know a lot of people don't get paid.
I swear they ( the attorney's) go into shock when I tell them that I don't need their services. I bet your compnay gets these calls too.

Are here any MLM business out at hand that bring up to date the truth? No self promotions please!!?
there have to be something other than calling and bugging those and attending lots of meetings and confrences call! What a waste of time...Answers: There are not, because the truth is MLM is among the lowest possible likely ways to become significantly rich among adjectives business opportunities today. Why? Because as any credible business personality will tell you, the requirement for ever expanding down lines is not feasible. A 3x3 matrix exceeds the world’s population inside 30 levels. Would you want to sandbank your future business yield on this?
Also, I sure do not want to antagonize but I feel it is requisite to point out a few critical flaws with those that promote MLM.
Jennifer F (and sorry to pick on you, but you said it) states “It is NOT a selling business” which unsurprisingly is the root of the problem. Representatives in MLM are ONLY within to assist the company moving a product or service. If as a whole, it is not something like selling, then it is merely a moment ago a collection of people together offering no plus to the company (other than their own purchases, which is essentially being salaried with your own money).
Jennifer F also states (again, sorry Jennifer) that she is “Helping others create extramural income from home through education of the system and how it works” But if she is not coaching anyone how to sell the product or services, nor doing this herself, how exactly is she showing others how to create extra income? I must remind you, that all MLM incomes are salaried from the company and all company incomes are earn throughout the sale of product or services, so unless in attendance are training fees being passed on to folks from those beneath them (the root of a ponzi) then short the sales its adjectives just a fraudulent setup.
I do not miserable to imply that ancestors in MLM are frauds, as I am sure most are not. However, abundant are unfortunately unintentionally perpetuating a fraud because they enjoy been convinced what they are offering have value. In any legitimate world business, if you can not clearly define your effectiveness you are not going to remain in business. In MLM, you not singular do not need to explain your pro, but you can perpetuate a myth that your appeal is training others…of course this only accomplish bringing new general public to the company that are trained not to sell any product or service any.
You certainly do not stipulation a job to brand name money, as there are countless business opportunity available. But you do need to be capable of justify your plus in any situation, and within MLM it is not possible.
You're kid, right?
They are all scam, pyramid schemes, ponzis. Do a G00GLE furrow on those terms if you dont know them.
To cause money, you need to draw from a job.
Quixtar told me the truth.
Only 1 within 25,000 makes the considerable gains they promise can be made. That is a dead loss rate of 99.996%, or a success rate of 0.004%
What a concord!
Am not sure what you mean by "..MLM ... that tell the truth", but if I had to guess, I would speak someone first told you it was jammy. and it's not. Creating a home based business that will provide for you, your children and their children take time. If someone told you that it would be instantaneous, without application, easy ... they lied.
Second feign I know of "make a document of your friends and family." In adjectives honesty friends and family are NOT the first folks you should be looking for.
Third lie "MLM is a SELLING concept". It is NOT a selling business and those who try to go, are encouraged to chase population down, hound them, bug them like you own suggested, ... it's not going to work.
Meetings, been to others, but never have one myself, didn't need to, but it sounds approaching you are being qualified some old university philosophies that may have worked within the past, but contained by today's world, people don't close to going to meetings. We don't hold time for them and don't like person HIGH pressure pitched. In fact someone just this minute asked me to come to a presentation for his biz... I just looked at him and said "are you serious? People still do that?" I know that be probably rude on my part, but what a debris of who knows how copious hours of my evening. I already went to one for someone else purely as a warm body within case not a soul else showed up. He knew I wasn't a prospect for his business... I sit there wish I was somewhere else. That's get to be frustrating for the person doing the presentation.
Conference call - if it's not a training call where on earth you actually share accepted wisdom and gain some knowledge, and if adjectives it is is a pep rally, consequently that leaves me wishing I'd be doing something else with my time.
One would estimate that I am against MLM and I am not, but I know what you are saying here . er... asking... because I get myself into a few home based businesses that did like thing... and what is worse is when they enunciate you need to buy lead. DON'T do that.
First thing I studious when I found the right company for me was... basically because they are breathing and can speak does not mean you want them contained by your business. Just because they are breathing and can speak does not mean they are interested within your product or service. It's a yes or no, should take no more than 5 minutes to determine and later you're done. And if you have to use a closing technique once, you will own to use it on that person every month to procure them to do whatever it is, conscript, purchase, etc...
No one ever told me that before...
There are better ways, but I would call for to know what it is exactly you are marketing, product, service, etc... If you are interested you can contact me through answers. Am I going to try to recruit you into my business, nope... I would prefer you not even ask what it is... let's of late see if we can give you some better ways to spawn what you are doing work better for you.
~best of luck
Jennifer
