Trademark respectively tshirt design?
I'm planning on starting my own tshirt company. I was wondering if at hand was a book out in attendance or anything like that to abet me out with the business side.such as if I call for to trademark all my tshirt designs and stuff approaching that.Answers: All intellectual property (i.e. your designs) are copyright-protected without you have to register them.
On your business logo, for instance, you can put TM (for trademarked) without have to register it. You would put the circle R if you did.
Either way, not a soul can rip off your philosophy and not be subject to copyright infringement.

Is January constituent of the "slow season"?
My father runs a business, is in the washed out pages, have a website, is listed on Dex, etc. all the same he isn't getting any calls. The Yellow page that he is in is somewhat new (January 2008), but it be being distributed right until that time Thanksgiving. He got one hail as in December and the woman never returned his phone back to her. Since afterwards, not one. Not one question, no comparing prices, zilch. Are we being impatient? Is January slice of the slow season for a tile repair/restoration business?Answers: I'd say yeah. Beginning of the year is when populace look at their credit card debt and say, "Holy crap, I spent how much on X-mas?!?" When they look at the cracked tile, they right to be heard, "I can walk on that for a couple months until the Visa bill's compensated off." It's not approaching it's a furnace. If your furnace is broken in January, unless you live somwhere really heat up, you fix it no matter what. A tile you dropped a pot on... not so much an emergency.
You may want to purloin out an ad, capture a local paper to write a puff piece on your business, and team up the local Chamber of Commerce.
try posting ads contained by local newspapers, post flyers on mailboxes, and possibly even do some telemarketing. Look into other tile repair businesses in the nouns and their prices. You can then try and proffer better deals, discounts, and lower prices. Starting your own business is really complex and it takes time to catch customers. After awhile though things should start to spread by word of mouth. January might be a slow month but, that just routine you have to work harder.
Is a business license required if I want to start selling on Ebay?
This relates to selling from California, and I don't guess I will be doing a lot.If so, how does this differ from have a garage sale?
Answers: You're getting some mixed answers here so consent to me clarify this. I am not aware of any city in California that would not require a business license (also call a business tax warrant in some cities approaching LA) for doing any kind of business, even if from your home. If it's a business, afterwards wherever you are located will hold jurisdiction over that business. You also would need a Seller's Permit surrounded by California. As one other answered told you, most people don't follow the directive, but if you are going to be legit, then you should draw from a business license, seller's permit, and possibly a home occupation travel document (if required by your city). Some zoning laws do not allow home tenancy businesses, which doesn't make any sense in this day and age, in which defence, most people freshly don't get a business license. What is the difference between that and a garage mart? Not much, but it is the intent. If you are selling on eBay with the intent to get rid of for a profit on a regular basis, that looks more resembling a business. Whereas a garage sale is usually adjectives old unwanted items you sell once a year only to get rid of it. However, several cities in California exempt garage sale from the business license requirements, recognizing that it is not really a business, but they are in a minute requiring garage sale permit. Although this seems ridiculous, it is true. I've never agreed anyone that has applied for one, but they are out within.

In certainty you can opt not to register as a business, and start selling. eBay will not ask for your business registration or proof of business.
You can start slow, and just put on the market on eBay. If you see if this is something profitable for you to continue and when everything seem working out fine, then you can register your business
Business registration is different from license -- and businesses that require a business license to run includes retail stores, daycares, building contractors, etc. Selling on eBay is not considered to a be a business that needs to be licensed

The answer is YES, if you plan on making a business of it. If you only want to sell a few personal things once within awhile, that's OK, but if it is a business then you involve a business license and a Tax ID. It really depends on where you live though, but most places require it if you want to keep hold of it legal. Of course abundant people do not follow the rules and flog without a license. I have an Ebay business a few years ago and had to take a business license, a home occupation permit & toll ID. Now I live a few towns away & they don't allow Ebay businesses believe it or not. Of course people do it, but the zoning forbids it contained by my area. But, close to I said, many race do it without the proper permit anyway.
