Are Fed-Ex rural confinement drivers company workers or sub-contractors?
I am somewhat interested in working for Fed-Ex as a local driver. I own been driving tractor trailer for more than two years over the road in a minute and it's time for a change. A couple associates have told me presently that Fed-Ex's package conferral drivers in rural areas work on a sort of owner worker style. I heard that they purchase the route and the truck and they own it kindly of like owning your own business. Is this true and if you hold any experience in it what nature of money is there to be made? Also, who would I want to look into contacting if I'm interested within purchasing a route and truck? Thanks in finance!Answers: The drivers do not work for fed ex, they are sub contractors.
