Anyone finding buisness tricky at the moment?
i have a shop selling kids clothes finding it really still at the mo,is anyone else in one and the same boat,also could anyoe tell me the lows and high of the trade,i have suppliers to retribution and no money to pay themAnswers: Yes. It because of the reality its just after christmas and everyone is short on money. Business will pick up though.
Yes, retail is rubbish at the moment, the big boys are adjectives dumping just to clear stock and to buy bazaar share, just have my worst xmas for years.
But, if you do not have dosh to pay invoices, you are trading while insolvent, communicate to your accountant urgently, if you order more products on credit you may be committing fraud!
Now is the time to get out.
You have need of to stay in control. Not the Bank or the paying public.

New Company, Directors Pay ?
As a new co, I'm unsure how much money will come within each month - Can the directors be pd diff amounts respectively month until I can be sure that enough money is coming surrounded by to pay the salary. The two directors are the only organization and both own the company equally.Answers: The directors can pay themselves doesn`t matter what they want (or nothing at all) as long as they correctly article for PAYE and NIC on whatever they pay packet themselves.
You could also consider dividends as a way of paying directors, assuming you both hold 50% of the shares. This could be motivational, as remuneration and profitability will become correlated. I may be wrong, but I dont feel dividends attract empolyer NICs, so your company may save approx 12% on payments of this variety as well. I judge they are taxed impossible to tell apart as other income from your perspective though. Recommend you check with the Inland Revenue on this point.
Another agency to vary the amount would be to pay envelope monthly bonuses, accoridng to byusiness / cash contained by the door.
From a governance perspective, it is prudent for directors to show restraint in reward, until cash flow and profits become established. Businesses roughly fail through absence of cash, a bit than profit. Equally, you may struggle to hire anyone if they see that you and your colleague are bringing the company to its knees through excessive salaries.

I know like mad of people who enjoy opened their own business. Most of them they run out of their home. It's more cost influential this way, and smaller quantity to start.
