You did take plus of the situation but that being said any ordinary person isn't going to bid on a mystery auction because they are scam. It sounds as if he may have be a bit naive. How does anyone bidding on this type of article know that there is more after one "envelope".the answer is they don't and in the greatest promising hood there be never more then one "envelope". I hope he have learned his lesson but at matching time reported this to Ebay...
