Large bulk vending distributors use organized groups to do the work; frequently these groups are comprised of the mentally retarded. Many larger vending companies often use those people who are willing to work for low fees, as illegal immigrants, and other "un-employables". Smaller vendors may do the work themselves as they watch TV, or hire out local families with many children to do the work.
In every event, the amount of money that the "capsule poppers" earn usually ranges from "very low" to "low". The workers are paid on a per capsule popped basis; the fees may range from as little as 3/4s of a Cent each to as high as 2 Cents each.
For a person with nimble fingers, and average strength, it's possible to "pop" 300 to 350 capsules per hour, under optimal conditions. Specific requirements as having to remove product from wrappers, etc. can seriously impede production.
To find a vendor in your vicinity, one of the most productive ways would be by looking on your local prize -in-capsule vending machines for contact information. When no contact information is available, tape a short message onto the back of machines for the vendor to find; hopefully, he'll call you.
Unless you have physical or other limitations, you would probably find better pay doing other work. But if your interest is high, and you'd like to give it a try, contact your local vendor , or vendors, and see what will happen. You have to buy the vending machines first. Unless you can find the owner of existing machines and ask them, but they don't usually make enough money to hire someone to fill them.
