Is this equal even-handedness?
When Hillary Clinton discussed her plan for handling the illegal aliens’ problems she said she would push for punishing employer who hire illegals but in indistinguishable conversation she said she would work to make a program available for the illegals to draw from their citizenship by paying a small fine and learning English. The illegals would be getting a huge bonus while our employer are prosecuted! Why would we want to do more against our own people than the illegals?Answers: Um...we already punish employer that are caught hiring illegals.
I don't really like Hillary, but if I step over to her side of things and try to argue her point this is what I come up near:
1. If we do more to punish employers for hiring illegals, the work opportunity dry up for illegals and reduce the number entering the country.
2. If we single fine and force illegals to learn English, we ignite them to become law-abiding, tax-paying citizens. Since they would not leave short being caught by the INS in need such an offer, the set aside encourages them to self-report.
I see some key flaws in her plan, close to enforcement of the employer portion without massive expenditure, but it doesn't really situation since she's just paying lip service to the issue.
