Business People: Please HELP! Business relationship going sour particularly hasty... what do I do?
My step dad bought the boutique in which I work. He bought it underneath his soley owned LLC, paid for everything including adjectives of the new inventory directions, outstanding taxes, etc... and now he is trying to railroad me into buying him out.I told him the other year that I would eventually like to buy the store from him, and he took that and run with it. Now, he have made me agree to order adjectives new inventory beneath my name, sign a personal guarantee to the manager for the rent, give him partly of the profits, and eventually "pay him off" for the stability of the business price out of my portion of the profits.
He is a very manipulative personality, and now, he is trying to gain me to be 50/50 with adjectives costs/taxes/bills/paying workers NOW, which I don't have the money to reimburse. He says I agreed to it, but I never did. He say "now that we are 50/50, you are responsible for writing checks for partially of all operating costs"
I be under the hollow that I was to be basically the manager.
Answers: wow, that can be a sticky situation. I would advocate you not to sign anything or take responsibiity for anything until in attendance is a formal agreement. he needs to follow that right now you are not financially prepared to run on that responsibilty.
If the business was never legitimately turned over to you, or shared, you have no financial interest within it. Submit your 2 weeks notice, and quit.
Edit: If you want to catch 1/2 the profits, it would be reasonable to expect you to money 1/2 the expenses, making you a "partner"
Well make it clear. You thought you would be solely the manager. Make it VERY clear that you neither own the funds nor ability at this time to purloin on so much.
He can't do anything if you can't front the money or time. Unless he wants to ruined his own business. Tell him you want to go towards "his goal," but you just can't right immediately.
Make it very clear ASAP that you do not hold the money to pursue this venture. Reason man, if this were to turn to court, you could say that you be clear in recitation him you didn't have the money.
Judging by what you've said you own a good valise going in your favor if it be to go to a court ruling. Don't sign any contracts unless you are unmistaken as to what they entail.

What concerns me is your statement "he have made me agree". Even verbal contracts are upholdable within a court of law if things shutting down up getting that bad for you. However, if you can prove that you be forced or manipulated into the agreement you may (or may not) be okay.
I would put your concerns within writing to your stepfather and request that he replies to you in writing as resourcefully. If that doesn't resolve the situation, you may need to discharge for legal counsel.
Do you own a contractual agreement with him that you will foot for x, y, z, and that you are partners? In otherwords, did attorneys draft and you both sign a partnership agreement?
If not, I'd speak about him that he misunderstood you and that you didn't mean buy him out at once. Besides, unless that boutique has a license to print money using profits to buy out a partner, which you entail to survive, is just bleak economics.
Seek the advice of an attorney in connection with the "partnership" and the advice of a financial professional on how to properly create a buy/sell aggreement.
Because you are a woman, you can gain a Small Business Loan from the Government, and most of those loans are free - you will never have to retribution them back. Check beside your local Chamber of Commerce for resources to get those loans and also, eventually you could become a beneficiary of that Chamber and they can help you meet people to bring in more business. If you own sole control over the store and you start making great money, then you can crow in your Dad's frontage!! :)

because i have never bought anything on Ebay but i thought do they not rip you rotten by you sending the money and the receiver not sending the product.Answers: It can crop up.
Just try and only buy things from respected seller. Look at the feedback that other members provide and if they have too much refusal then don't buy from them.

check and see how many items the party has sold and see what the responses are to them.if they are adjectives good later i think its reliable

no i never go essential eBay. once i bought a chain on nearby and it didn't even look remotely similar to the picture they had. it be a completely different chain. i also bought an ipod from a company (not a private seller) and i didn't see contained by fine print that the thing be broken and completely worthless. i tried to return it but the company wouldn't take it even when i offered to buy a brand topical one from them at full price. of course i be a little credulous then. (i be in lofty school) and i probably could have avoided those things, but i still wont shop here. there are few worse inner health then realize you've been swindled especially when you are working your as$ rotten at a minimum wage job for the money
oh i didn't mention this, but i did try to contact eBay several times in the order of both incidents, but all they consent to me do was donate the seller a desperate review. what a joke
Ebay itself is massively reliable, but there are those who bear advantage of it.
You hold to treat it for what it is, its a flea market/garage sale not Macy's. If something sounds to pious to be true, if its an item you wouldn't buy without examining surrounded by person any other place, or if the buyer/seller is asking that you do something that wasn't constituent of the original matter, then you hold to be smart enough to pace away.
i wouldnt purchase anything from ebay..
mainly because of credit card fraud.
