Small Business Questions and Answers

Need a comprehensive List of Free Seminars surrounded by South Florida within February 2008?

I have search high and low and adjectives I can find is garbage. I am looking for a record of seminars (free to inexpensive) covering nearly any business topics, including, but not set to: Marketing, Networking, Small Business, Investing, Stocks/Trading, Management Skills, Graphic Arts.

I am at a cross-roads on what to do with my craft next and I would be ETERNALLY grateful if someone can find me a book of Quality Seminars. (They are usually held at hotel conference rooms, etc.) I ran across a great one, didn't put aside the page and now I'm kicking myself REAL frozen.

Statistics--Finding Exactly and at Least?

I have tried several different ways to come up w/ the answer (which I already have), but do not construe how that answer is obtained.

The answer is 0+ or (.00000980) for exact.
The answer is 0+ or (.00000985) for at tiniest
The third answer is that they are probably being targeted.

But I do not take how those answers were obtain.

Five tax returns. 1% Tax Audit rate. Three audited.
Find probability that exactly three of five would be audited.
Find probability that at smallest three are audited.
Based on those results are the customers unlucky or are they being targeted for audits.

Answers: The "at least" is a sum of several events where on earth as the "exactly" is one event.

Let X be the number of audits. X has the binomial distribution next to n = 5 trials and success probability p = 0.01

In nonspecific, if X has the binomial distribution near n trials and a success probability of p next
P[X = x] = n!/(x!(n-x)!) * p^x * (1-p)^(n-x)
for values of x = 0, 1, 2, ..., n
P[X = x] = 0 for any other value of x.

The probability mass function is derived by looking at the number of combination of x objects chosen from n objects and later a total of x success and n - x failure.
Or, in other words, the binomial is the sum of n independent and identically distributed Bernoulli trials.

X ~ Binomial( n , p )

the tight of the binomial distribution is n * p = 0.05
the variance of the binomial distribution is n * p * (1 - p) = 0.0495
the standard deviation is the square root of the variance = √ ( n * p * (1 - p)) = 0.2224860

The Probability Mass Function, PDF,
f(X) = P(X = x) is:

P( X = 0 ) = 0.95099
P( X = 1 ) = 0.0480298
P( X = 2 ) = 0.000970299
P( X = 3 ) = 9.801e-06 ← exactly 3
P( X = 4 ) = 4.95e-08
P( X = 5 ) = 1e-10

The Cumulative Distribution Function, CDF,
F(X) = P(X ≤ x) is:

x
∑ P(X = t) =
t = 0

P( X ≤ 0 ) = 0.95099
P( X ≤ 1 ) = 0.9990199
P( X ≤ 2 ) = 0.9999901
P( X ≤ 3 ) ≈ 1
P( X ≤ 4 ) ≈ 1
P( X ≤ 5 ) = 1

1 - F(X) is:

n
∑ P(X = t) =
t = x

P( X ≥ 0 ) = 1
P( X ≥ 1 ) = 0.04900995
P( X ≥ 2 ) = 0.0009801496
P( X ≥ 3 ) = 9.8506e-06 ← At least 3
P( X ≥ 4 ) = 4.96e-08
P( X ≥ 5 ) = 9.99999e-11

Can an LLC payment its member a stipend respectively month?

We are an agency which formed an LLC with the fundamental shareholder owning all 100% of our adjectives stock (i.e. Founder/Creative Director). There are two members of the LLC which technically are partner, but have not built satisfactory equity in the company even so to be paid as such. Can the two member be paid a monthly stipend lacking it being "payroll"? They would money their own taxes of course. The single thing i can relate it to would be a regulation firm with sundry partners below them that must take home some sort of guarantee respectively month. Can this be done with an LLC. If so, how do we do it?

Answers: Legally, a bough of an LLC can't receive a salary through payroll. However, guaranteed payments are not payroll because it is subject to self-employment charge.

You will need to translation the LLC agreement to incorporate the guaranteed payment clause and hold all the member signed the amended agreement and file it next to your State.
