What would be better for selling 500 items My own website or Ebay?
Im looking to sell something like 500 items in my alien online buisness. All of which are software. Shall i start my own website and just compensate for the domain and list everything myself or shall i register in ebay and payment listing fees and the price they run after its sold which is gonna be about lb300. Ebay would probably be easier because you already have a huge amount of individuals on the site looking to buy. If you start your own site you have to return with people to walk to your site in the first place which is a mammoth project on its own.
If you want to be taken seriously as a business, I think it would look completely amateurish to use EBay and not have your own site. With your own site, potential customers would realise that you be a business, have peace of mind contained by knowing that there would be after sale service/customer service. I personally tend to ruminate of EBay as a place where every Tom Dick and Harry focus they can sell their unwanted stuff, whether its second-hand goods or not, for a quick profit and afterwards forget about the customer. You requirement to build up a reputation, hence a customer base and its adjectives about doll and customer relations.
Is it a one time shot or a continuos business? Short term - Ebay, long permanent status - has your own website. It's so trouble-free to create a website & free software. Once you have your own website, you can drive traffic to your pattern. Good luck.

if i be you i'd take lead of ebay - they have millions of visor already and they actively promote/advertise their site increasing their brand awareness and visitor numbers adjectives the time.
you could do it yourself to avoid their fees, but you may well bring 100 times longer to sell your items that means of access!
