One of the most important things you can do is to inaugurate getting a patent taking place. Some of this you can do yourself but most of it is often moved out to professionals, such as seeing if the idea have already been patented (or a government grant pending) or if the idea is characteristic and patentable.

You should document your idea and hold a journal. Take a document to a notary public to enjoy it witnessed and stamped so you will have proof of concept at a precise date- this can help protect your impression from other people seeking a similar rights.

They don't put a merit on US Stamps anymore. How do you know if the stamp is still usable?

They gave up on printing stamps beside a value on it a while ago.

I've found some stamps that are antediluvian but I don't know if it's before the up-to-the-minute postage rate hike. Can I still use a "first class" stamp even though I may own bought it before they raise the postage rates?

Answers: They now enjoy the 'forever' stamp. It doesn't matter when you bought it, it can still be used. but single if it is not an alphabet stamp, they were printed for specific increases. it have to have no denomination, and hold been purchased after they stopped putting denominations on them.
Those are the unknown forever stamps. They can be used all the time even after rate change, so you're fine. This is to eliminate the problem of race needing 2 or 3 cent stamps after every renovate and allows them to still use the old stamps until they run out.
