Answers: I really resembling the concept! The layout is good, confident to navigate and all subsequent page load jammy. The home page is informatlive and clearly states the purpose. The one thing I didn' t resembling was the colors. It's complex to read because the colors are busy and distracting.
Overall, awesome concept and nice design layout.

Questions just about becoming an ACTUARY?? please read?

my boyfriend is considering becoming an actuary

so we looked into it, and it said all u want is a degree surrounded by math, or physics. but then we saw some stuff something like a degree within actuarial science.
do u really need that to be an actuary?
if he does want to become one, he'll have a Masters surrounded by Math when he graduates surrounded by spring 2009. is that enough??

we've be at beanactuary.com already and have looked at taster exams and all that.

other question we have:
-can u be a subdivision time actuary?
-how many hours a week do you typically work?
-where exactly do u work? for example, if u are an insurance actuary, do u work at a specific agencys department? or from home?
-whats an example of work you would do during the day? for example if ur an insurance actuary, whats a typical afternoon like? typical math u use surrounded by one day or doesn`t matter what?
-what is the exact name of the first exams one would want to take?

thank u!!

Answers: I am also considering a work to be an actuary. My answer will probably be as good as what you already know, but I've done plentifully of research and have come up near you don't necessarily need an acturial amount, but need to overhaul the proper exams. I would think if he is on his agency to having his masters contained by math, he probably has the right credentials to be an actuary but should open taking the exams asap to see if it is truely something he would feel comfortable doing.

You entail a balance of Calc/Prob/Stat classes. Maybe articulate to a counselor at his school to see what they meditate his best option would be as far as what specific classes he should pilfer. Also, look into insurance companies for internships. Not necessarily doing actuary work but to see how the business runs and what he would be getting into. From there he could gossip to actuaries at that company and ask how their day to daylight is.

Also, look for forums online to discuss schooling and the career process for actuaries.
