Other than lots of due diligence? There are a few things.
You need a DOT number from the NMFTA (National Motor Freight Transport Association)
You also need insurance before your DOT number will become active.
From there... you need contacts or loadboards and drivers. Do you have these? Your post was very vague. You need reliable equipment (newer than 2003model year rigs, and reliable trailers), maintenance plans, drug tests/records... that is just the basics.
If you have a contract lined up already, then that will definitely help you. If not, then you have more searching to do on places like Getloaded, Internettruckstop (ITS) and others. The two I mentioned are subscription based, but good resources. You can see partial loads, full loads, the rates for some of them, etc.

How can you buy something from the store hot and resale on ebay minus that human being contained by trouble?
i dont understand how ppl public sale stuff on ebay thats brand new because i consider thats against the law? I don`t know im wrong. i probably am, but i just wonder if partially the stuff on there brand tentative, like cell phones and video gaming systems aren't stolen! i connote, why would you buy something that cost the cheapest at walmart for say $300 later go on ebay and trade if for $300. you profit nothing unless you stole it. or you try selling it for $500 but nobody will buy that if they can draw from it at walmart for $300. and how bout theres multiple items on there, THOUSANDS, and partly arent even bidded on! so how the heck do you make money on ebay!? im baffled.Answers: if you hold a tax self you can buy items at wholesale price which is cheaper than retail.
for instance(this is just an example not concrete numbers) a ps3 cost $399 at walmart(retail), but you can buy a ps3, given you are a legit business, from the wholesaler(the people walmart bought the ps3 from) for $300. thats a $99 markout/profit.
thats the wholesale route, also relations buy refurbish items, liquidation, closeout, used many other ways to obtain products cheaper than retail value.
if you plan on making any money sour ebay you DO NOT buy things at retail price for the simple fact that you expressed, you will not craft a profit if you buy it for retail price and then vend it for the same price. you'll only just break even, heck you'll probably be losing money by the time and energy you put into finding the product.

I'm thinking that lots of those cases where on earth people are selling untried items on eBay, they've bought a clearance lot or are buying on wholesale. Either way, they aren't buying at the retail price, so they can net money on eBay -- if they can cover their costs and find people to buy.
Or it may be that inhabitants are selling gifts they got that they don't want. You know, you could ask one and the same question give or take a few people taking clean items to the pawn shop.
Don't forget shipping. I know a few ebayers who almost not make a dime on the actual item, but label the profit in the shipping.
