Are store manager and assistant manager suppose to be compensated at lowest possible a $1 dollar more than regular workers?
I'm an Assistant Manager at a pet store in California and I individual get compensated 8.50. Only .50 cents more than employees (that aren't management) since minimum go up to $8.00. Is that legal?Answers: There is no set "minimum" for manager or assistant managers. One would infer that most businesses would take diligence of their top folks.but I've seen several instances where on earth a line worker get OT pay and a low-level mediator gets take-home pay. During busy times the line worker make more $ than the supervisor!
You have option. I'd suggest you be the best employee you can be and show your boss how you supply value to the business...that you are primed to take on more responsibility (then ASK for more responsibility and more $);
You may choose to look for another employment that will better use your skills and reward you more.
