Answers: Hi B,
I agree with J above. I myself own a network design company and competition in the network design business can be aggressive, and so you need to showcase what you can extend for the price of 10% less. As J said, cost isn't other the only entity. These days businesses want to know:
1) What do I get for my price?
2) How will population find this site once it is up? If no one finds it (especially beside other competition in impossible to tell apart business as your clients), it's not an investment to them.
3) What makes your business *different* from others? Good example: a great deal of bigger businesses treat their clients as just 'numbers'. Do you counter that trend by offering personal customer service? Can you clients count on you to return phone call or email? Will they get a plane of customer service that small business can provide but big businesses that have grown beyond their britches can't?
Differentiating yourself from your competition can facilitate show how much more your clients are getting for the same price as your rivals.
4) What is your niche? Do you target precise areas of the market (e.g. solid estate agents, lawyers, travel agents, etc)? Establishing a niche souk will help you build a following which you can expand upon bit by bit if you choose and eventually make you a bigger player within the web design arena.
Good you asked those question. If you have other question, please feel free to ask!
Best regard,
L
Competition is tough but it is good for the reduction. Sometimes a small shop simply cannot do a job prompt enough or powerfully enough, even if it charges smaller amount.
You may want to sign up with Rent A Coder and bid on network design and similar jobs. There is no charge to sign up at http://www.rentacoder.com, but they will cart a 15 percent commission for each charge you complete and get rewarded. follow the rules carefully. They protect both buyer and peddler of coding services.
Hi B.
It's a tough world in network design.
I have found that when you are competing surrounded by areas like that, you requirement to show a really strong VPP (Valuable Preselling Proposition). In normal English that mechanism you need to show your customers something your competition can't show them.
I did some research on this a while ago when I be thinking of going in to full time trellis design. What do people want when they come to a website designer?
1. A valid price? Sure - you can't over-charge people for a standard website beside just dreary features. There's too much competition for that. BUT price is not usually the main consideration beside people looking to own a website. Most of these people own already decided to spend the money or they wouldn't be going to your competition.
2. What do empire want in a website? Sure they want a nice looking site. BUT what they really want is to know that their expensive latest site will help their business. They want to find some route of making their site DO something rather than only sitting on the web human being ignored. Just look at the number of society who post here saying, "How can I procure traffic to my blog or site?" "How can I advertise my site?" "Where can I bring free traffic?"
What you really need is some road of saying, "I don't build websites, I build online businesses that carry traffic and get the click.
Try reading the Webmaster Business Masters Course. It's a free no strings download available here: http://www.internet-business-detective.c...
It might back you see a way to address the problem.
If you want to settle about getting a VPP, drop me a string through my email in my profile. I can do the wager on end stuff approaching SEO and keywords and all that. You can do the front conclusion stuff like designing and building sites. Maybe we could bring together and offer customers an extra dimension to website building.
Good luck doesn`t matter what you decide.

If you are offering design for relatives, you must have a solid portfolio to impress. If you don't own one, work on your own web page. Most customer don't trouble you are big or small, what they need are best solution that can fit their budget. Put FAQ, testimonial. write Dutch auction pitch on your page, how you can help them better than your competitor..etc 1st indentation count. Get new customer from other instrument of advertising that your competitor miss out, don't compete too much near pricing. If you can't get wager on previous customer get hot one. With Internet you can get charge globally. Be positive, COMPETITOR CAN BE ALLIES TOO.

Any philosophy on how to grasp more clients surrounded by a hugely undetected time spa?
we are in the middle of the men's department surrounded by a department store. we are in charge of going out and bringing within clients. wev'e passed out busness cards, coupons, done demos, etc. we are very dyed-in-the-wool in adjectives what we do and we all delight in doing hair. we are still slow, we hold our clients, but , there seriously of people that don't know we are nearby. please any ideas would be appreciated. thank you and god bless.Answers: First, you already know that the Men's Dept is the wrong place to be. So, rob advantage of it and pile it on to men. Try getting people to drop stale their business card for drawings for free services. Give discount coupons to the men for them to give to their wives.
