I sold an item via craigslist to a guy. He sent me a deposit and in a minute desires the deposit rear after 1 month.?

I scheduled a pickup near him 3 different times, each time waiting at home for several hours, and respectively time he never showed up (and didn't call to speak about me). It's been a month and very soon he wants his deposit put money on. Do i have to tender it back if he's the soul who failed to complete the Dutch auction? He's claiming that it was partial gift, but it was a deposit so that i wouldn't put on the market the item to anyone else.

Answers: The whole aim for a deposit is to make up for your dried up time and inconvenience if your buyer backs out. As long as it be made clear to him that it was a deposit, than you own no obligation to return it to him. Make sure you liberate all communications between the two of you within case he decide to take you to small claims court. Stick to your guns, if he's be wasting your time like that you are more than entitled to keep hold of his deposit.
i agree. that's the point of a deposit, but anyway, craigslist has no checks and balance, rules or regulations that monitor transactions. nothing on in that is a guarantee...it's all at your own risk. so really, doesn`t matter what terms you gross are what goes.

Answers: My husbands company uses the last one. It's great. His email is bombarded. He's a GC, CM and such. I'm not sure if your a subcontractor or purveyor, you really should send out a request to be placed on their bidder's register to any GC's in your nouns. they'll send you a Bidders Questionnaire which will ask you alot of question about your business, including insurance, bonding capability. How much your company has made. What projects you hold completed as well as what you enjoy on hand. But afterwards, if your approved, you'll be the first one contacted if they have any job bidding. What state are you in? If your surrounded by NY contact me at my e-mail address (justyrbutterfly(a)yahoo.com) if you have any other question. I've managed a Construction Firm for over 10 years.
