Small Business Questions and Answers

Does anyone live within a small town and own a small business that have be extraordinarily successful? If so...?

I am looking for an idea of a flawless small business for a very small tourist town...any planning?

Answers: Do some research locally.

Go to some local meetings such as the Chamber of commerce - or the Tourist Luncheons etc.

There must be something where on earth the local business leaders meet contained by public.

Make some B-cards with your e-mail - and introduce yourself to them - afterwards ask them directly:
"What do you feel is missing from our business community" "I'm looking to set myself up within business here and want to fill a definite need"

Then LISTEN TO THEM - see what they say - don't discuss - merely lisent - thank them and then move to the subsequent person and repeat.

At the pause of the day - write down your thoughts of what you hear.

Use this informaiton to help you establish - most importantly - make sure you select something you are going to similar to being a cut of - if you do this just for money - you may find you don't close to the work.

So be sure that whatever you choose is something you can get the impression good something like spending your day doing - remember the relations you will need to work beside - and the people you will necessitate to associate with - it will engender your life much happier when you can be smiling with whom you are around.

Answers: Go to http://www.score.org/ and in the upper left hand corner, enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a SCORE counselor.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SCORE has 389 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 10,500 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business counselors.
You are a sole proprietorship unless you specifically form a "seperate" company such as a Limited Liability Company (LLC), corporation, or partnership.

You report your income from work that you do as a sole proprietorship on your regular income tax form--both the money you get and the expenses that you incur. Its very important to track both as the expenses will reduce your taxes because they reduce your taxable income.
