Try checking out a local network group. That's a great place to get a "feel" for what is out at hand. My networking group meet the 2nd Tuesday every month. We have moms who do adjectives types of things: insurance sales, virtual assistance, virtual bookkeepers, a Mom who writes a home history scrapbook, candy maker, singers, and myself, a sewing instructor to novice.
Networking groups are interesting places to pick up ideas and a place to commiserate beside people within the same situation. My group is call Moms, Inc. Maybe you can find something like that contained by your area.
