Small Business Questions and Answers

How do you pick up an hand that you believe is steeling bread?

The cash drawer is other short around $10.00 when a certain member of staff is working. We have no cameras and she open alone in the mornings and have access to the cash. All workforce use the same register and we merely have 4 workers a light of day.

Answers: Without catching the thief "red handed" it will be difficult. You mentioned that the "drawer is short" so you may already be using a POS system instead of a change register (if you arent you can start there). Some other things to try besides camera & POS:

- Reconcile your cash drawer after every shift instead of at the expiration of day

- Work a shift next to the offender and scrutinize them when they don't think you are

- Enlist an hand the offender works next to to watch him/her for you.

-Talk to them. Let them know you own noticed, see if anything change.

- Set up a "decoy camera" to make the theif beleive they are mortal recorded.

Good luck!
If you own 4 people using alike register, there is no style to catch them and enjoy it stick.

I would contact your local police department to see if they have any design that will help you. And your accountant. Stealing is a remarkably high offense and you are learned to not just read aloud that they're stealing--- cause you could ending up in court for destroying their reputation.

Any proposal?

I am starting my own small business making unique and creative announcements and invitations. Any counsel about how I do so? I live surrounded by a small, but rich town and plan on targeting it up to that time advertising nation cavernous. Thanks for the tips and ideas!!

Answers: You should start past its sell-by date by creating a small variety of some of these announcements and invitations. Then, you will requirement to go to your potential customers. You can do this through asking business owners (in the splash of business that might promote sales of your product) surrounded by the area if they would close to to either buy some wholesale, or allow you to put them on consignment. If you put them on consignment, remember that they usually pocket 25% of the sale, so price appropriately. Once you have done this, you could also switch on to go door-to-door, any speaking directly with general public, or making a small packet to put at their houses. The packet should consist of a sample, pricing, advantages of using your company versus competitors, reference when you gain some, how long the turnaround time is, basically any uncomplicated thing you would want to know as a customer that would label you call to inquire. Of course, one of your best resources is friends and clan. If you know anyone who is going to be planning an event that your invitations and announcements could be used for, talk to them to see if you can work something out. Make sure you enjoy your contact information on the back of the announcements and such, preferably a website, so anyone who receive your product can visit your website if they are interested surrounded by what you have to proposal. You might also want to try to go to some local event planners if you can find them, and relay them what you are trying to do, as they would be a prime group of people to obtain the word out about your business by recommend your products to their clients. Basically, think of who could use your products, which is pretty much anyone who is planning some benevolent of event, and find a way to target your product to them. Just some thoughts, I hope they help!

Best of luck!
