I currently work for Walgreens, and was hired within as a beauty advisor while attending big school.
While I no longer work as a "BA" (Walgreens collaborate for Beauty Advisor), I can still offer you some information.
Though duties may swing from store to store...there are some things that are uniform...you're errand is to make as much surrounded by promotional money (money from cosmetic companies for selling their products) and to check out 40+ customers a day within cosmetics only (employees do not count). You are responsible for self knowledgeble about products for public sale, and able to assist customers. Facing (straightening up aisles 1-3 of product and your portion of the vertebrae wall) is a closing duty. Also, you should know that working at Walgreens means you will hold an 8-9 hour shift, and depending on the hours of the store you work for, could mean getting out as belated as 12 AM...since you are a highschool student, you may consider working weekends only.
It's different from store to store...it really is. But self a beauty advisor really is a difficult commission.
The BAs at my store are responsible for in their closing shift include taking out the trash from the breakroom, bathrooms, stockroom, and bureau and putting in the trash compacter.
