Sometimes these things happen because you compressed a facial audacity while sleeping or wearing glasses/sunglasses. Other times it's due to alergy to something you're using. And some other times, it just happen but goes away to some extent soon.
I recommend:
1) Swap out the facial cleanser, soap, lotion, or cosmetics you're using on your face to see if you're alergic to it. I have the ticking for a few weeks before figure out that the Aveeno facial cleanser I was using be the cause. Changed it and the tick be gone in a couple of days.
2) Otherwise you may freshly need to develop a way to cuss everytime you tick... then claim you own Turrets syndrome. Just kidding!

To be honest ive be putting things on lately and been have the same problem.I ruminate its the time of year a lot of ppl are away on holiday.
