You really thinking around starting a restaurant? It can be very rewarding but it is a tremendous amount of work (figure that you will START at working 70-80 hours a week and shift up from there!). And in the region of 1/3 of all hot restaurants close within a year.
So your first chore might be . money, money, money.
Figure out what it is going to take to unscrew a new place. All the equipment, the rent, license fees, installations and ... okay, you get the notion. Figure how many employess you will entail, how much you have to reimburse them. List out all of your start up expenses PLUS your estimated monthly expenses. Now double it. Or triple it. Or quadruple it. That is what you want to hold to start with. Make sure you enjoy enough money on mitt to support the business for 5-6 months even if you did not get ANY sale.
