First of all, what is she good at, what are her interests, and how much time is she willing to spend at it. Doing typing for local businesses is a good idea if you have a computer at home. A consulting business of any kind. Do not do any of the Mary Kay/Avon makeup jobs because you have to put time and money into it to make anything and so many people complain about it not working for them. But, if you are into the whole product thing, invest some money in hot items, like electronics, and use eBay. Tons of people have done it. Maybe she's a good potter or has another artstic talent, try selling that.
But hey, if she doesnt want to do that or doesn't like the idea, have her go through some things she enjoys doing that you can maipulate into a profit. I think it is VERY critical when doing a big scale business, or incorporating, or when submitting for a allow or a loan.
I had a business plan when I started. Initially, I didn't muse it really mattered as it be mostly for investors.
I did get the investors - somewhat because of my business plan.
Once I started - I didn't use the business plan and admittedly went stale track.
After much pondering (and struggling) - I reviewed my business plan and realized how brilliant it really be.
It's like a road map. The more recurrently you look at it - the more likely you will closing up where you initially intended or better.

Home hours of daylight strictness??
Question:
I'm thinking about starting my own home daylight care. What ages do you suggest i should field it from? I was thinking 3- 6 or 7. Does that nouns reasonable?
What hours should i be uncap. When do parents need to be at work? When can they be at hand to pick up their kids?
Also, how much should i charge. I would run it monday through friday. not sure about the hours nonetheless. I would have a scope in rash childhood, and babysitting experience. I'm looking for a class on CPR too.
And does anyone have an suggestions or tips? from what i hear, it's complicated work. but worth it in the failure!

It all depends on the nouns where you live. For example, does your nouns have a great deal of manufacturing plants, etc? If so, you may want to consider mortal open on the weekend too. When you are person interviewed by parents, ask them what hours would work best with them and see if you can accomodate.
Check beside your state department of human services. They usually require CPR, First Aid, and other classes to even be registered.
Don't forget to retain an attorney, for the day some kid or parent deceptively accuses you of ill-treat.
check with local authorities concerning ratio...how many kids and ages you are allowed to see safely..be prepared to 'kid proof' your home..run it as a business next to a clear contract, make sure you and parents both know what to expect....will you provide meal? will the parents supply meals...what roughly snacks?.dont forget allergies.you can do it!
My mom runs her own day caution from home... she is a licensed day contemplation provider ..and is listed next to the Childcare Council.
She has have infants from 3 months.until they have started Kindergarten..after kindergarten..the parents usually sign them up full time. But she does hold a range of kids from 3 months to in the order of 6 years of age..some are even afterschoolers.
Where she lives she charges 250.00 per child... ( she lives in Shrub Oak, NY ). If she get siblings...then she will discount the second sibling. She is unstop from 7-5.. but will actually extend her hours until 6. She have been lucky ample ...where she be able to continue the hours of 7-5 because alot of the parents where teacher. That's changing in a minute...so she needs to be more fliexible.
You should gain in touch next to the Childcare Council where you live ... so that you know exactly what wishes to be done to set yourself up. You will get opportune visitors to ensure that you are providing the proper carefulness that is expected..so product sure you have your i's dotted...and your t's crossed. You will also inevitability to set up a contract between you and the parent. You will also need insurance to insure your property and the kids.. within the event something should happen to the child while on your premise...and the parents sue. There is alot to do.but it is a VERY lucrative business. My parents take home alot of money doing this.
