Depending on what type of business obviously: create an enexpensive business card and brochure then stir: door-to-door or "cold call" - in other words look in your client base, narrate them what you can do for them and follow through.

You wouldn't copyright it. Copyrights can be obtain for things of an artistic nature. Copyrights can also be obtained for hype copy, games, software programs and blueprints, to name only a few.
To protect a business name inwardly your industry, you would apply for a trademark.

Registering a trademark grants the owner exclusive rights to the blemish within the specified industry.
