Question:I have a shop on Ebay, selling lovely fine studs and evening dresses. It is just not doing so dutiful. My photos and descriptions are pretty good but its still worn-out out. I sell really fine things because I be fed up buying stuff and finding out it be just crap once I get it home. I am now stuck next to stock worth a lot of money. I cannot lower my prices any more as I would be losing a mint. Is it because my items are fairly expensive? People seem to want gold ingots and diamonds etc for buttons. I took at look at your ebay store and here is my advice:
1. Only record the "personal collage art greeting card" once.
It is a small item and takes up far too much scrolling down space.
2. You enjoy nice jewelry but jewelry is difficult to photograph. Consider hiring a professional photographer. I know you probably don't want the expense but it is difficult to see the size of your jewelry items and a professional will take better pictures.
3. Don't center adjectives of your text and use lower baggage and capital correspondence. By emphasizing every note you are emphasizing nil.
4. If you want to do more business with the United States. State that directly and more clearly contained by the text portion.

The problem with selling jewelery, or any other popular item is, everybody and their Uncle is selling it too! The souk is flooded. Try switching to another product that isn't so popular. Something off the overpowered path. A product that's for a while bit harder to find and get. Brainstorm! Use your imagination! I would suggest media hype your shop on other websites. Exchange links with other those who get profusely of hits on their websites. Pay for some advertising. List your business contained by the local paper and mitt out flyers around your area. Create a website that links to your ebay shop. Include interesting articles give or take a few your products on your website. All of these things can help bring traffic to your shop. Scott has some worthy advice. Except that I disagree beside not writing a mission statement.
The key for a small business, though, is explicitly should be a very simple and extraordinarily quick exercise. And if it is longer than 2-3 sentences, consequently it is too long. All it really needs to do is describe the call for you are trying to fulfill with your business and the knob things you believe will set your business apart from the competition.
It will be your 'stake in the ground' ... and will articulate the business's aim for existing. Too many small businesses don't hold that 'north star' and take their 'eye bad the ball' ... lack of direction is one of the principal causes of small business failure.
I recommend that you write a short mission statement and would challenge you that if you cannot articulate one surrounded by 2-3 sentences and complete it in 10-15 minutes ... later you have not sufficiently developed the concept within your own mind to successfully launch the business.
