Small Business Question and Answers

Can I represent myself as a plaintiff contained by a Supreme Court or State Court?

Question:Civil litigation, I have be scammed out of $200.000

Answers:
Yes, you can represent yourself in court. If you are suing for $200,000, you will folder in the United States District Court. There are rules you have need of to follow, so you should contact that court and see if they will provide you with a copy of the rules. Otherwise you will inevitability to go to the directive library and get them in that.

However, unless you have an extensive lawful background, you should hire an attorney. $200,000 is like mad of money, and clearly, the person you are going to be suing be crafty enough to extract it from you. What make you think they're not going to be crafty adequate, or hire a lawyer crafty ample, to get by near it? An attorney is going to charge a percentage of recovery, but if you pray for attorney fees surrounded by your petition, that can be paid by the defendant if you win so you extremity up with your full $200,000.

If fraud be involved, talk to the federal prosecutor. If they've scammed you, they've probably scammed other folks, and having them prosecuted criminally would not singular help your covering, but would also help save them from stealing from other people.

Other Answers:
Yea and the best approach to win is to ask for trial by jury

depends! Yes you can. I'd progress with a jury though. Study up rather too

you wouldn't want to. in attendance is too many things you might not enunciate or do that a lawyer know about. it could breed you lose your case. the court doesn't pass you any mercy just exact you represent yourself. your best chance is a attorney. don't chance losing 200,000 to inexperience.

how to enlarge a store online?

Question:i want to sell clothes online from different companies

Answers:
There are deeply of different ways. You can do eBay, or get a pay-pal store or amalgamate some of your favorite stores as an affiliate (usually free) and just knit to them from your main pattern space.

Here is an example of one of mine: http://robertsgeneralstore.com

You can find some free affiliate accounts at http://linkshare.com . many store to choose from.

That is a pretty broad examine, you may try being for a while more specific.

The best way is by getting your own network page started and getting a shopping cart so you can vend from your own space and not have anyone departing your page. You may have to buy at wholesale and next retail them out but you will then hold shipping costs and inventory and other costs. Lots to think around.

If you are just wanting to start a business, a accurate way to find started is by joining a network marketing company. Most are cheap and own some great products but watch out, nearby are some scams out near. Here is a good guide to arbiter them by http://roberthamblen.com/tenquestions.doc

Here are the steps you stipulation to take when creating your online business:

STEP 1: Set Your Goals - Why do you want a network site? What is the size of the online market? What are the goal for your website?

STEP 2: Develop Your Web Site Strategy - Who is your website target audience? What typically appeals to your target audience? How are the other websites (your competition) reaching out to this target audience? How will you measure your see?

whats the best mode to pile it on an antique store thats 10 miles out of city but really nice and grteat prices?

Question:i have tryed papers,

Answers:
There are 3 ways to increase revenue:

1) New customers
2) Current customers buy more (frequently or per-visit)
3) Raise prices.

Of these, (3) is easiest and roughly the most effective. And, I know already that you're cringing; frankly I don't expect to convince you within one sitting. But you should raise prices.

Next most successful is (2). You should be capturing the name, addresses, email address, fax #s, everything you can find out about your current customers - especially your regulars, the hard-core antique junkies who spend the most and call in most frequently. If you have to dispense up a coupon or freebie in exchange, it's worth it. Then you maintain in touch near those people totally frequently. At least 1x per week. Yes, I know that sounds close to way too much. Yes, I can prove it works, but again, you won't believe me till you do it (and do it right).

Finally, work on getting more bodies contained by the front door. As you've discovered, this is very expensive and difficult. The "best way" is beside direct-response advertising using a actual Unique Selling Proposition, a compelling reason to work, an outrageous offer, and a strong guarantee. There's more, contact me if you're interested.

Other Answers:
"Travel a moment or two, save seriously. You won't find beautiful antiques close to ours anywhere else."

"It be worth the drive to buy our mechandise when it was bright; It's worth it even more now!" There are other people that approaching a drive and 'antiquing' off the bested path. (An antique store that isn't prearranged by everyone is far more likely to enjoy treasure, right?) So play to those folks that make the 'thrill of the chase' part of a set of their shopping experience.

Post it on craigslist.com, get yourself on local "things to do surrounded by..." lists near papers and magazines (send press releases, it's free) and within on line classifieds surrounded by the area of you specialty (like if you enjoy mostly furniture, when people turn upside down Yahoo! Yellow pages for local furniture stores, engender sure yours comes up - similarly if you are in clothing, postcards, doesn`t matter what.)

Last, I agree with the guy above, DON'T BOTTOM OUT ON YOUR PRICES. People expect to compensate, and once you are getting peoples money you have to fashion enough to verbs in business. (Sure, enjoy sales and adjectives, but be consistent, your customers will expect it.)

Have a sign in book, post EVERYONE a thank you note/postcard (even for just looking) it's a HUGE (and cheap) bearing to get great obverse time.

I'm trying to start my own buisness, but call for 10K property to invest? What are my financing option?

Question:

Answers:
If you need just $10K, you may want to check out microloan providers. The Small Business Administration (SBA) introduced its Microloan Program in 1992 to provide for startup or growing small businesses. Under the program, qualified borrowers may be approved for loans for use as working wherewithal, inventory purchase, procurement of supply, fixtures, machinery and equipment.

The loans are distributed through non-profit community-based lenders or intermediaries, and not at SBA directly. While each intermediary sets their own criteria for loan eligibility, the common requirements include some type of collateral, and the personal guarantee of the business owner. The collateral may include equipment, contracts, inventory or other property

Here is a state-by-state list of SBA-accedited microloan providers that you can contact http://www.powerhomebiz.com/vol145/microloanproviders.htm

Other sources of means may be:

- own sources of funds such as your savings or 401K
- credit card (if 10K is adjectives you need, the easiest would be credit cards -- but they can be pricey depending on how high-ranking the interest rates of your cards so take note)
- kinfolk, friends and relatives

Very difficult or impossible, to secure a loan for busines start up.
If you have comparable assets for collateral, that will do.

One bet would be going to the SBA and seeing if they can assist you with getting a loan. By going through them, they can leverage a better loan consequently you would be able to win on your own.

One note to counsel, depending upon your business in mind, the 10k you estimate may not be satisfactory for continued opperations for your business. You should really forcast your expenses and make sure that the inital loan that you are requesting will be ample for 6months-one year before your business will become profitable. Last entity you want when starting out is to ask for 10k then find out a few months latter you should have asked for 15k, because getting that 5k afterwards will be much more difficult. A edge will think that your business is failing, when its surrounded by fact doing resourcefully but you need the extra means to keep up beside demand.

The third entry you can try is going to a private bank yourself. Only dance if you have a nouns business plan, they will examine it and assess the risk of the loan based upon it. Also Small Businesses are more risky afterwards a Mortgage so the rate will be higher.

Goodluck!

Most people start by using their nest egg, borrowing from family and friends, which I would antipathy or going to their banks but unless you hold at least 30-50 % to put into it the bank usually won't look at a business loan. They may give you a personal loan though.

The subsequent place to look, if you have a angelic business plan is Business Development centres. These are correct because if you had be on Employment Assistance in the later three years, you will be eligible to receive Employment Assistance for 1 year after you start your business.

And then at hand are government grant but again they are difficult to receive and there are like mad of stipulations.

Most flea markets require you to own a sales export tax id number any for the state or for the county ( example; in florida you enjoy to have a different number for every county you put on the market in). How do I start a association?

Question:I work for a small business with a few collective owners and 15 slaves to the man. Work conditions are awful. Pay is poor to average at best. The system we use to do our business is outdated and rediculous, and we must work weekends to catch up next to the competition because the ownership is not open to renovate. I feel the merely way to force translate for the better is to begin a association to bargain near, but the main owner have made it clear that he will not tolerate a unionized work force. So my specific question is: how to I start or bond a union that will bring our employer into the 21st century short getting everyone fired?

Answers:
I'm sure you'll find some union organizer to answer your interview directly. I don't know how to start a union. But from your description of the problem, I'm not convinced a association is your best bet. Unions won't make an employer revision ther methods. They'll just force them to earnings more. That only works if the company have extra income or knows how to restore their income. If not, a union will with the sole purpose force the company to die faster. (Watch the airlines, if you don't get that.)

If you're truly convinced that the with the sole purpose problem is in the guidance decisions, it sounds to me approaching what you want to create is not a union but a competitor. Start a business parallel to the one you work for, hire away the best workers, and stir into competition with your slothful company. If you're right, you'll make a fortune AND know how to improve conditions for your worker buddies. If you're wrong, at tiniest there will still be a company operating after yours go under. Either track, your co-workers come out as well past its sell-by date as they can.

Other Answers:
You never said what type of business this is. Normally, there are union for skilled trades and teachers but within are also Unions for office workers and assembly queue workers.

A union isn't necessarily your best answer. For most small business owners, declare bankruptcy and closing the business is more economically viable than dealing near the hassle of a union. And union aren't always the best answer for workforce.

Assuming you live in the US, start beside your state labor board. Make sure your employer is following all of the local, state and federal labor law. Tactfully point out his violations (if any) and ask him to adjust them, or let him know that the state will manufacture him change. FWIW, I've found that the number one rule that employer violate are the overtime laws - any deliberately or newly because they don't understand them.

If he is following the epistle of the law, you still don't enjoy to unionize to use collective bargaining strategy. If the majority of your co-workers feel this means of access, you can approach him as a group and demand change.

Whatever tactic you choose, be prepared to lose your job. But hold on to in mind that it is time-consuming and a hassle to find current employees, so if 4-5 society quit or are fired at once, your owner will have problems replacing you contained by a timely manner, something that _will_ hurt their business.

Were I surrounded by your shoes, I would start by organizing one weekend where on earth everyone just flat out refuse to work, regardless of whether or not you are behind on your work. If it's a weekend, it's feasible to be overtime anyway, and that shouldn't affect normal business. If you show up on Monday and the man wishes to fire you all, consequently you all only just walk out. You're better past its sell-by date.

If you have some serious competition surrounded by your industry and location, you can use that to your advantage as economically - If you all step out and head to your competitors place(s) to wish employment, not only will you hurt his business, you will spawn him worried about what advantages his competitors will gain.

Again, a federation will won't necessarily help you, and may a short time ago steel the owner against any sort of compromise. But a statement like "You know what? We're not going to unionize, but we are going to stand up for ourselves - we aren't working this weekend, and to be exact final" will get your point across and show that your friendly to compromise
There is no easy answer here. The most major question you stipulation to answer is, does your company make money? If the company is struggling even though it pays you little, it will probably jump under promptly after you get a clear raise. So instead of starting a alliance, you should start looking for a new chore.

If the company is profitable, things can be totally different. You should talk to an attorney practicing labor tenet and see what your options are.
Unions don't work for small businesses. Just any start your own business with your fellow body and your contacts or talk to the owner after doing your homework show what updated system cost and how much money they would hide away or earn on payroll running the light and equipment on weekends, in the lead more bids. If those dont appeal to you then find another work maybe beside one of his competors. Life to short to be miserable.
