The check got returned a few weeks latter marked as "fraud".
If I have sent the $1800 from the $2000 check they sent, I would have have no money in the dune to cover my loss. I would have be in the hole $1800, my credit ruined, and who know what for cashing a fraudulent check (I think that I would own been officially held liable).
