I think if you read your service agreement warily you will see a provision in near that Best Buy will not be liable for consequential damages. That means that their liability is set to the value of the products that you originally purchased from them. Once they catch there products functioning contained by a reasonable bearing as the products did the day you bought them they own fulfilled their obligation beneath the service agreement.
Beyond that they could claim that you where negligence within not backing up such prized information. And that you contributed more to the damage than they did.
My view is that even some type of public smear against Best Buy as suggested above would find little sympathy for someone who didn't back up his sensible information.

If you want my honest assessment go to Sam's Club subsequent time you are looking at purchasing any electronics. They have a wonderful returns and exchanges policy and they own excellent customer service. I find that they have amazingly competitive prices. I have have to take spinal column many things for repair/exchange and they standard them no questions asked. Live and Learn. It's a bit of life. Just receive sure to back up your information for presently on and try to contact the IRS and your accountant to see if you can retrieve some of your lost information.
