Answers:
It is hard to find grant to start a business. Unlike the myths that some perpetuate, federal senate and even private foundations hardly contribute grant money for a for-profit business. And yes, grant mean PAPERWORK - lots and lots of it, specifically why a cottage industry of grant writers be born.
Nonetheless, you can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grant.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grant. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support a for-profit endeavour.
Even if you buy books on "how to get grants" or detail that supposedly has information on grant -- all of them are mere rehash of what CFDA have, albeit packaged differently. But still the info is one and the same - hardly any grant for starting a for profit business.
Even SBA does NOT give out grant. From the SBA website http://www.sba.gov/expanding/grants.html...
"The U.S. Small Business Administration does not offer grant to start or expand small businesses, although it does offer a yawning variety of loan programs. (See http://www.sba.gov/financing for more information) While SBA does submit some grant programs, these are largely designed to expand and enhance organizations that provide small business government, technical, or financial assistance. These grant generally support non-profit organization, intermediary lending institutions, and state and local government."
Most of the federal grants are given to specific target groups next to specific requirements (e.g. minority business owners involved in transportation related contracts emanate from DOT - Grant#20.905 Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Short Term Lending Program
Grants are also often given to non profit groups or organization involved in training or other similar goings-on (grant 59.043 Women's Business Ownership Assistance that are given to those who will create women's business center that will train women entrepreneurs
For private grants, you may want to check the Foundation Center's Foundation Grants for Individuals Online. It's a subscription base website ($9.95 per month) but their opening blurb one and only says that the database is just the thing for "students, artists, academic researchers, libraries and financial aid office." Entrepreneurs are apparently not one of them, so I take it they also don't hold listings of private foundations who give grant to would-be entrepreneurs.

which small businesses own the lowest disappointment rate?
I've got satisfactory money to start most any business, but I don't know which ones are ususally successful. I don't need to obtain rich, and don't want an internet or creative concept, just a regular small business. One with a storefront would be well-mannered. Thanks.Answers:
It's not always give or take a few finding a business with the lowest fiasco rate. Franchises fail and they are among the safest. Rule of thumb though is you fashion about $40K per year from a franchise. It would be better to buy various them within impossible to tell apart franchise structure - something like have a franchise within a franchise. That approach you capitalize on your time and money.
I have other thought buying an existing business is better than starting one. As long as the business you are buying has lots of upside, you don't hold to go through the topical business blues.
The next thought would be buy or start one contained by an industry you already know, or know something about. If you don't, (not the best of ideas) find a mentor who know that industry.
Good luck!

if it was on his computer you would be slammed for person near his computer. that is to say his personal(at a businees) email and it can be seen as an invasion or privacy or someting of that humour if you bring up that you have see it. tread lightly
< What he does is his own private affair. Don't be so nosey, and it won't bother you.You should, but leave it a while surrounded by case he stops and you might obtain the sack im sorry love but this is a hard one to crack. the subject of his e-mails are none of your business. you could enjoy just closed the page lacking invading his privacy. if he doesn't complain about an uptight busy body checking his e-mail afterwards i don't think you should complain roughly speaking the contents of your bosses e-mail. if you feel that put out by it, next find another job.
Let it go this time, but if it become a habit, I would mention it to him.
< Shame on you for anyone so nosy and a bigger shame on you for dictum he LEAVED his email open. I hold a hard time believing you go to any college with such poor English skills, it would hold been LEFT unfold and it was none of your business nor your right to close it for him. What kind of college you come from, or what your personal preferences are is none of your boss' business. You conservative upbringing have nothing to do near people around you. He is your boss and that be his computer. What he reads or enjoy reading should'nt be really scrutinised. If you went to close it, after just close it. Thats it. None of anyone's business on what is here on the computer. Why do you have to close it anyway ? Do you close his computer for him regularly ? Have you see this happening in the past ? You also mentioned that you ''noticed many of the email SUBJECTS''. Thats it. You own to just move about around doing your job and anything it is you saw shouldnt make a difference and you shouldnt be making it clear. It would be professional of you, if you just without being seen, and carried on as if you saw nothing.
However, if he is really doing it on a regular foundation, with explicit mail obviously bold and big adjectives over his screen and everytime you own to see it, then you own to just detail him that he is leaving his ''personal' messages initiate and anyone who comes in the bureau gets to see what open-handed of messages they are. Ofcourse in a nice process. Tell him, it would be a good model to close and go since every nosey entity in the department has a peer at what he's up to.
I think that should solve it. Try it out.
P.S. ''.....and my boss 'leaved'' his email overt on it ??"

These can be time bombs. Make sure the agreement specifies if you are sharing gross revenues or profits. Revenues from the business that involves the two companies one and only or general revenues? I would hold a lawyer draft the document and I would own both firm's accountants agree on the formulas.
You don't want a windfall that us yours alone to go to another business and you want some sanctuary precautions in crust the other side stops pulling their weight or never does.
On a final information, in this light of day of intense scrutiny of books make sure the formulas are GAAP approved. No accounting monkey business or import tax dodges. You will thank yourself later. Best of luck!

It is hard to find grant to start a business. Unlike the myths that some perpetuate, federal political affairs and even private foundations hardly provide grant money for a for-profit business. And yes, grant mean PAPERWORK - lots and lots of it, explicitly why a cottage industry of grant writers be born.
Nonetheless, you can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) http://www.cfda.gov and Grants.gov http://www.grant.gov - these are two sites created by the federal government to provide transparency and information on grant. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that would support a for-profit activity.
Even if you buy books on "how to get grants" or account that supposedly has information on grant -- all of them are mere rehash of what CFDA have, albeit packaged differently. But still the info is like - hardly any grant for starting a for profit business.
Even SBA does NOT give out grant. From the SBA website http://www.sba.gov/expanding/grants.html...
"The U.S. Small Business Administration does not offer grant to start or expand small businesses, although it does offer a wide open variety of loan programs. (See http://www.sba.gov/financing for more information) While SBA does tender some grant programs, these are collectively designed to expand and enhance organizations that provide small business headship, technical, or financial assistance. These grant generally support non-profit organization, intermediary lending institutions, and state and local government."
Most of the federal grants are given to specific target groups near specific requirements (e.g. minority business owners involved in transportation related contracts emanate from DOT - Grant#20.905 Disadvantaged Business Enterprises Short Term Lending Program
Grants are also often given to non profit groups or organization involved in training or other similar accomplishments (grant 59.043 Women's Business Ownership Assistance that are given to those who will create women's business center that will train women entrepreneurs
For private grants, you may want to check the Foundation Center's Foundation Grants for Individuals Online. It's a subscription base website ($9.95 per month) but their opening blurb singular says that the database is just what the doctor ordered for "students, artists, academic researchers, libraries and financial aid office." Entrepreneurs are apparently not one of them, so I take it they also don't hold listings of private foundations who give grant to would-be entrepreneurs.
