I don't know where you are, but surrounded by Dallas there's a place called the Apparel Mart. In New York they hold the fashion district. These are areas where on earth clothing makers, designers, buyers and seller meet and hold offices close. They also have regular events approaching conventions or shows so you can see the lines. I imagine adjectives the really big cities have similar things, so you may enjoy to travel but it would be worthwhile.
