I think so, yes. I come up with our Nature and maybe our heart are inborn, but I consider Character is built and can be changed. Character can be diminished by greed and desire and Character can be built up by any number of things (kindness, respect, beauty, etc.) but it is something we control.

Becky....personality is NOT born...it is developed. When you are born into a family you are around definite character traits, these mold your sense of self. This is where we obtain the sayings "like father, approaching son" or "like mother, approaching daughter" etc. When character traits are inadvertently developed via a household unit they can mistakenly be thought heritable. Character is not a gene that is passed along through nearest and dearest links; it is a set pattern of nouns that deliberately or inadvertently sets the trend of a childs life span through the family, parents, social set and friends of the child.
Character CAN be changed and re-molded into a different outline and trend. Usually this happens via self-help or a personal vendetta/will of the child/young mature to change. Sometimes the being will have to walk back and "undo" damages or traits that be learned while young-looking.
If you are unhappy near your character, or something roughly your character, trends, traditions, etc then I would strongly cheer you to seek coppers. There is nothing wrong near seeking to change. Also...IT IS NO INSULT to your parents, or a “slam" to their personal style of parenting if you desire this transform. Remember your parents had parents too...they academic habits too....we are adjectives in one and the same boat here. We work with what we are given, devolution and toss out what we don’t want and move on.
Get the book on cassette set....Re-Inventing Yourself, Steve Chandler. I HIGHLY recommend this series, it changed my whole out look on time, excellent.
You are right...bad persona DOES effect your life and craft...but as you get elder the "habits" become a choice...choices CAN change, personality CAN change.
