Y'know how Carers got a $600 bonus for the Carer's Allowance or $1000 for Carers salary in June for the end few years? I was purely wondering, now that Howard's out, is Rudd doing one and the same thing for us? Or have it been cancelled?Answers: haven't hear but i would like to know as all right

I claimed a child on my return short assent but he lived next to me and his parents claimed him also. HELP!
i claimed a teen on my income tax return who lived near me the entire year and i took care of him . i claimed him on my taxes and get the money back already. i did not ask the parents if i could claim him because i figure they would not since i had the kid the undamaged year. i supported him. his parents claimed him and they denied them and told them somebody already filed. i didnt want to argue near them so i made up a story 00 about my taxes individual filed automatically and i didnt know i claimed him, but i told him i didnt carry money back inflict i owed... she wants me to present her 500 even tho she did not take meticulousness of him. if she reports that i claimed without concurrence i could get surrounded by trouble because i have no material proof other then word of mouth... i do not want to clear her since i should be getting the money, but i am afraid i will have to repay the irs. what should i doAnswers: You have the right to claim him. What address does his university records read aloud? Who takes him to the doctor? I'm sure you own lots of proof of your supporting him. You don't owe the parents any money. It would seem to me if he lives near you and wants to stay in that he would be willing to detail the truth if it comes to that. Since he is with you he should not be afraid of his parents. You are justifiably entitled to claim him.
K you are fine.. The child was below your supervision you supported him..
Also no one care what the little brat or his white trash parents have to articulate. Just show your receipts and you will be fine.
So... you are saying that this child lived next to you ALL year, that he made less than $3400 and you provided more than 1/2 of his support. When you file, you did, of course, individual claim him under the qualify relative rules. (The QR rules only afford you the $3400 exemption and nothing else.)
Let the IRS sort this out. The parents will own trouble showing the child lived with them for at least possible 6 months...and clearly they should already know that they can't lend or sell the exemption to someone else.
You did goof when you said you didn't know you claimed him. You give them emotional proof that they can win over your claim.
if he's a pubescent, and he lived with you, you should enjoy at least some evidence of it. I find it not easy to comprehend that he would stay with you from January 1st 2007 until december 31st 2007 and afterwards go backbone to his parents. Why was he staying next to you? Was there trouble at home?
Your story get even shadier when you say that you lied to his mother almost it.
What you did was technically private if you have no proof that he be living with you. I can't see why you don't enjoy it though. A year is a long time to not have proof that a teen boy lived with you.
if you really want to follow the dispatch of the law.neither of you can claim the child as a dependent.
the parent cant claim because the child must own lived with the parent for over partly of the year...but the child lived with you for the unbroken year.
you cant legally claim the child because the child is not related to you (at least possible you didnt say if he was) and relationship is one of the test to see if you can claim the dependent.
so, in this travel case, nobody may be able to claim the exemption. what happen here is YOU gave a contribution to this teen.
its kind of similar to a boyfriend who supports his girlfriend and her baby...he can not claim any his girlfriend or her baby.
yeah , a moment ago file an amended return to fix this...dont collide it...you will lose and them maybe bring on the full wrath of the irs.
a few hundred buck is not worth the trouble.
make a purchase of school correspondence, neighbour's testimonies, teacher's testimony or any letter he received through year. Be in position when the IRS ask you proofs about your dependent.
Greetings and polite luck
Call the IRS 1-8OO-829-1040 and tell them the truth -- adjectives of it. Then, ask them what you need to do to correct your information and prove you provided support for this child.
Do dependents, who remunerated their own taxes, also receive the $600 from the stimulus plan?
I'm 19, but still a dependent. I filed my own taxes, so do I draw from the $600 as well or does my Mother freshly get another 300 bucks??Answers: Regardless of whether your parents claim you as a dependent, below the terms of the compromise bill passed by Congress, you also would be eligible to receive a rebate of up to $600 if you remunerated that much in Federal Income Tax. If you solitary paid $350 within taxes (less than the $600 rebate limit), you only bring back back $350. If you have earned income of at tiniest $3000, you would get at smallest the minimum rebate of $300.
While the rebate depends on your 2007 income, it is actually a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the proposed plan, within 2008, taxes would be cut from 10 percent to zero percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.
It's approaching a one time tax cut for 2008, but you carry the rebate now instead of waiting to wallet your 2008 taxes. Because this is an advance sum on your 2008 taxes, your refund subsequent year could be more (or less!) depending on your 2008 income.
Any due payer who made over $3000 will receive the rebate. As long as your mom did not claim you last year you will draw from your OWN check. As long as you did not make over the 75K mark out they are talking around. Yahoo news have a article on It. Just read that :) Hope this helps.
